The Dark Knight general public....

Its gonna be big but todays movies are a whole different bag to yesteryaer when B89 was released.

Why does every aspect of this film have to be compared to 89 in some way?

I never got this logic, why not just enjoy this movie and forget 89. It is its own movie, as this movie is.

like I said before, it was the number one search on yahoo yesterday, which is probably why now they even have a headline about it. It leads you tot he trailer.

I did not know that. Hmm would explain why everyone knows something about it.

My sister is a good example of an average general public type of person. Who does not spend hours looking at spoilers or gives two hoots about seeing the next picture of Bale in a batsuit. So when I visited her yesterday to say hi she asked me first if I had seen the new TDK trailer....lol

I was shocked as she is not that up and up on these things. But she suprised me. But given that her partner may have put her on to it it may not be that much of a suprise. Still to think that little plain public girl can get that much info then I think the public know more than we think they do.
Re: your sig. You porbably wasted more time thinking it up and then typing it out.:cwink:

Back when the audio feed was released my sister and cousin asked me what I was doing. She had no idea of TDK and my cousin didn't even know about Batman Begins.

lol

Hardly

I put that in when I first joined ages ago.....it's never changed. The fact that you posted about it makes it worth it...as you have wasted some time on it ;)

Are you freakin' nuts, Batman Begins had its ass handed to him by the unknown "300" film? How is it going to own the summer with even bigger named movies?

Setting aside the fact that these movies came out in two completely different years, let's look at them for a sec.

First, 300 was hardly unknown. This movie was so far up its own ass with hype it was ridiculous. Second, the film itself is about as deep as a puddle of dog piss. Hype and pretty imagery sold this film, and that's all you need nowadays to do so (Spider-man 3, anyone?).

As for Batman Begins, let's start with the complete lack of publicity for this flick. The trailers were sub-par, tv spots repetitive and as far as villains went we were getting Scarecrow. Regardless of how cool he was on film, the general public would've rather had a Joker or Two Face. Also, this film had to pick up the pieces after Batman And Robin. America was hesitant to see yet another Barman movie.

That's what SR was to me a glossy & pretty looking film with no substance.

This could go on a while.

This conversation.... is over.

I don't know why. I love Barman. And his special powers... cocktail making, and the ability to say 'Rough day?' while polishing a glass. There'd be queues round the block for that film.

Indeed that one sequel to Barman 89 was great!

Barman Returns

Yahoo is my browsers homepage...and even though they`re sort of always late on some news they always do make it number one headline when it eventually comes in...I remember a few months ago a lil bit after the first teaser came out they said it was the number one most viewed trailer and iron man was right under it

Thing is, my friends keep asking me, Why is it called TDK? They don't realize that DK means Batman. People i speak to are confused.

Wel TDK could mean anything to the public - could be a bank for all they know.

Hey all. First time poster, looooooong time lurker.

As far as the general public goes, I agree with most of you. They're idiots. So I'm sure they've seen the Today show. :cwink:

To be fair the real idiots are the people who spend their time on forums....

For no real reason

But hi :)
