The one thing it has going for it is that it can't possibly be worst than the first.

All this sequel has to do is have kick-ass action and then it probably will be better than the first alone. Plus I hope they try to let Nic Cage's natural quirkiness shine through instead of trying to force it like the last film.

[BLACKOUT]They do fight, but the fight is consisted of Blackout grabbing Ghost Rider by the throat and forcing Zarathos back inside John Blaze's body. Blaze then has to outsmart Blackout without Zarathos, who is too weakned by Blackout's death touch to turn Blaze into the Ghost Rider.[/BLACKOUT]

This sounds worse than the fights in the first film, I HATE when they do things like that in superhero films (smh).

After reading that I would have to agree. I ain't paying to see Nic Cage beat somebody, I am paying for a flame headed demon to do the pounding.

Hell yeah dude, that's exactly how I feel

That does sound awful.Sounds like they ran out of money.again.

Yeah well, Actors dont get to act if they're covered in a flaming CGI skull.

Some of them don't do too good a job without it either...

Thread has been dormant for a bit...but SDCC announced the the schedule for Wed-Fri. Here is the bit for GR:
Fri, Jul 08, 11:10AM

"4:00-6:30 Sony— Sony returns to Hall H with a stellar lineup of films and talent, including:

Ghost Rider-Spirit of Vengeance -- After blazing a trail around the globe in the worldwide hit Ghost Rider, Nicolas Cage returns as Johnny Blaze in Columbia Pictures' Ghost Rider-Spirit of Vengeance. Still struggling with his curse as the devil's bounty hunter, Blaze is hiding out in a remote part of Eastern Europe when he is recruited by a secret sect to save a young boy (Fergus Riordan) from the devil (Ciaran Hinds). At first, Johnny is reluctant to embrace the power of the Ghost Rider again, but it is the only way to protect the boy -- and possibly rid himself of his curse forever. Live on stage: directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor (Crank) and stars Nicolas Cage, Idris Elba, and Johnny Whitworth.
"

I'll be there for the whole convention and will post pics if/when possible.

Not that I know of. I know we've had set pics.

With GR 2, a director/screenwriter will have the freedom to develop a more interesting plot, now that they don't have a combersome backstory to worry about - but the more freedom comes more responsability!

Only more days until we get some GR: Spirit of Vengeance footage, hopefully they'll even show the first full trailer. ;)
