Well, since it came out, I've seen the movie 4 times. And every time I've seen it it just seems to get worse and worse. Cage's acting is atrocious, Mendes is only worth her T n' A. And Blackheart. ****ing Blackheart. I remember asking MSJ how BH was going to look, and if he stayed faithful to the design. I should have know when he PMed me back skirting around the question saying I wouldn't be disappointed, I knew I should have expected to be.

I was hoping to leave the theater feeling fulfilled after seeing the movie I longed for for a decade. But no, I left deflated, and ripping into it with the people I saw it with. I at least walked out of Fantastic Four with a smile on my face.

Great, now I feel like punching something cute.

I think we were all in some sort of euphoric high back in 2006. How awesome it was to have Howard Mackie, MSJ, Javier Saltaires, and others take time off their busy schedule to talk to us? I know I hyped that movie.

The AvP-R directors did that too. Once we found out about the Pred-Alien egg barfing into mouths...well....it was a massive flame war.

I wish we weren't so nice to MSJ. Might not want to punch him in the nose so much now. Hell, just watching it with friends got my blood boiling, pointing out how much money he wasted.

I don't think I complained until maybe a year after the movie. I watched it 3 times at the theater with different groups of friends. Just to see Ghost Rider in the movies was a great experience...regardless if it was a disappointment in terms of story or action.

In retrospect, I don't regret the hype, or MSJ, he was extremely nice and friendly to everybody. Hell, he even invited two fellow hypesters to the premiere and after party. How many directors could you say did the same for fellow hype members?

When I saw Ghost Rider in theaters, I was entertained. That's all I want from movies; whether it's cheesy entertainment or whatever the movie is supposed to be.

Having said that, I do feel bad the die hard GR fans everywhere. I know watching the first film couldn't have been easy on you.

The one good thing i thought MSJ did add in the films is the reason for Johnny Blaze receiving his powers. The whole idea of the "Devil's Bounty Hunter."

After reading into Ghost Rider, it seems that was not the reason Blaze was given his powers. I'm not mistaken am I?

How? Spider-Man is a light character? That would be disgusting.

I disagree. He was created as a light character but any work of fiction can be interpreted as different beings and with different visions. Batman was a fun and super light character in many versions but was also turned into something dark and gritty. Right now there is both Dark Knight Rises and the Batman Live.

Why not have a truly dark and violent Spider-man? I know I'd love to see one with Carnage as the main villain.

Regarding the GR2 trailer, I have a sneaking suspicion it's going to be shown with Conan this week. How come no one's though of THAT? I mean, it doesn't HAVE to be with a Sony film! Besides, Conan's a geek property, just like Ghost Rider, and BOTH are in 3D.

Probably like you said, because Conan is Lionsgate and GR is Sony. But, if they were gonna release the trailer, you're right. Conan is the perfect genre film to release a trailer for GR 2.

I saw a preview of X-Men: First Class in front of Thor in IMAX 3D. One's Fox the other's Marvel, but they're both Marvel based characters.

BTW, seeing the trailer for FIRST CLASS in IMAX, really made me wish they released it in IMAX

The only description I've heard of is the footage from Comic Con. I can only imagine it's the same trailer, just without the actual 2 plus minutes of footage.

Because I think that's what they did. Showed some footage, then a trailer

I agree, its a terrible movie. I remember being so excited about seeing it after that first trailer with X3. My wife's a huge Nick Cage fan (as am I) & we were stoked about seeing him play The Rider. To make things more intriguing, they had Sam Elliot playing Caretaker & Peter Fonda playing Mephistopheles. But despite that, knowing that Mark Steven Johnson was directing, really concerned me (I hated Daredevil. Both cuts). So I go see the film &...what a complete piece of garbage. What on Earth was Johnson thinking? How did he get that script approved? The worst CBM based on a Marvel character for me is Punisher War Zone, but Ghost Rider comes in at a close 2nd. 3rd place would go to Daredevil & 4th to Elektra.

Guess you haven't seen the Fantastic Four movies?

Ghost Rider and DD (both cuts) don't come close to the awfulness of those movies.

Well, let's agree to disagree then, because I think a hard R Spider-man would be insanely fun (I know I'm probably in a minority in that opinion but still ).

You do know back in the 90's James Cameron himself was set to direct Spider-Man and it had a completed script ready to go right? It had Spider-Man having sex with Mary Jane on top of a bridge and Spidey using the F bomb and a lot of other stuff I am probably forgetting. The villain was a made up guy named Strand who was basically the same thing as Dr. Doom in the Fantastic Four movie.

And in regards to the trailer I doubt it will be mainly footage of the previous film considering the directors have said this isn't a sequel. If it is old footage that would be odd and disappointing.
