Ghost Rider 2 In The Works - Part 1

Being a spandex wearing team member of a group doesn't make you any "less badass", because Thor, Iron Man, and Captain America are very bad ass.

In the context of the tone of the movie spandex heroes are not necessarily dark.

BTW Iron Man doesn't have spandex.

...and if spandex was bad ass.. how come all the incarnations of the Batman have lost the spandex outside of Adam West's character?

I guess bad assness is in the eye of the beholder....

Guess you haven't seen the Fantastic Four movies?

Ghost Rider and DD (both cuts) don't come close to the awfulness of those movies.
I disagree.
I liked the first Fantastic Four. I took it as a fun family movie. The second was just silly.

But Ghost Rider still ranks as the worst, for me.

Ghost Rider was the worst in terms of action scenes but the film as a whole was no worse than Wolverine Origins, FF4-2 or Blade 3.

I disagree once again. I think it was. It was just a souless movie.
I'd put it in equal terms with Elektra, but this one has a little more going on, at least.

lol
I'm really looking forward to GR2, though. I never saw Crank, but all I hear is that the directors make some crazy action. Can't wait for the trailer this week.

But he IS a member of a team, therefore he still fit you're description of not being bad ass.

Being a bad ass lies more within your ability to kick ass than you're wardrobe choice and team affiliation.

Wow, thanks. Imagine how different the whole superhero and action film world would have looked like if that film was made. The PG-13 regime would have never overthrown R rated fun and the new age of great comic book adaptations could have started way before X-Men 1.
Dammit, I wanna to see the film with that script and that creepy looking Spidey instead of the current Amazing Spider-Man film :(

PG-13 is the only real way to do comic book films these days to justify their budgets. It is a big gamble for a studio to put up at least 100 million of their own money and make a film teens and kids are restricted to see. That is the most profitable demographic especially in the summer.

I know it's the only way to go now but it could have been different. 10-20 years ago it was different. There were big-budget action flicks like Face-Off, Terminator 2 and such that would sell really well. Heck, before 90s, R rating was the only way to go for a proper action film outside Indiana Jones.

If Cameron could start the new wave of comic book action flicks with his R rated work (Before his shift into PG-13 with Titanic and beyond), things could have been different (Or maybe not, Goddamit I want GR2 trailer now!).

Friday sounds about right. Three 3D movies premiere on Friday: Fright Night, Conan & Spy Kids 4. I wouldn't be surprised if on my trip to see Fright Night I come across the GR2 trailer. I just hope Zarathos is featured. He's what I'm looking forward to the most in this movie and I'm dying to see the [practical] make-up job on Cage.

It's not practical...it's still CGI. Only difference is, Cage was the actor under the CGI skull. Not a stuntman.

Dammit, they are gonna force all of us to make a deal with Mephisto in order to get the trailer.

It seems that way doesn't it?

Definitely. Imagine if they release the trailer only at theaters and we had to wait till monday to get it only (Damn you Dark Knight Rises trailers!). This trailer better be worth it! You hear me Sony!?

So Friday it is. I'll be watching Conan at the midnight showing, it better be there!

The trailer is attached to Conan.

Are you sure about that?

Well I was thinking about going to see Fright Night or Conan this weekend anyways, I hope it's attached to Fright Night as well.

Did you see it? Or did you hear about it?:woot:
Sadly I've only heard about it.
Not really interested in Conan. As BigThor said, hopefully its attached to Fright Night. I loved its trailers and advance reviews are kinda promising (Never seen the original FN).
