The Dark Knight Rises Giamatti would love to be Penguin

I love Giammatti and he'd no doubt be great in the role but i still think Toby Jones is born to play this.

And this photo doesn't even convey how short he is either...

"Giamatti is an ok actor, not typically great in Dramatic roles (see Cinderella Man)"

What kind of doofus would write such a thing????????

Giamatti would be amazing in thee role, as would other folks. He was outstanding as John Adams.

Yup. Of course that doesn't mean he'd be the best choice for the role, but he certainly would bring gravitas to it.

Giamatti could play any rogue in Batman's gallery.

Including Poison Ivy.

Giamatti wanting to be in the movie isn't really news.

I'm sure there are a ton of talented actors in Hollywood that would be.

I mean we've gotten so many bogus BS rumors already about the casting of this movie.

Giamatti would be a great Penguin. Either him or Philip Seymour Hoffman I don't mind. As somebody mentioned earlier Giamatti would be a great Toyman as well.

It's not about being a Batman fan, but being an actor wanting a great chance of bigger recognition and cash. And that covers 99.9% of actors around the world.
Obviously unrecognised, unsuccesful actors would take a major role in a sucha big movie. Like I said only unrecognised, unsuccesful actors would take a role that doesnt interest them. The actor I replied to said "anybody would gladly play a ****ing prop even, if it ment they got to be in the next batman flick". Actors like Daniel Day-Lewis, Judi Dench, Viggo Mortenson, Leo DiCaprio, or Paul Giamatti wouldnt take a role just for recognition.

Yet another reason why Toby Jones deserves his shot at this.

There has been a lot of cases of recognised, successful actors who have taken major roles in big movies.

Like I said only unrecognised, unsuccesful actors would take a role that doesnt interest them.

A big quality frachise with lots of good acting and good cash and big recognition doesn't sound like something in which most actors wouldn't be interested.

I think I also mentioned the cash.

Im not saying no big actor would take a role in a blockbuster. Im not saying nobody would be interested in these roles(look at the cast for the last 2 movies!). You missunderstood me. Im saying no actor that is already big would take ONLY for recognition. Some might do it for the money, but thats a very small group I think because they make alot of money already.
The guy I replied to acted like EVERY actor would take ANY part just to be in a Batman movie.

Viggo Mortenson isn't a recognizable enough actor to really turn down a Batman role.

I seem to remember Viggo reportedly turning down Ra's AL Ghul way back when.
