Glee Episode V: The Sylvester Strikes Back - - Part 11

I'm surprised that they don't have Sue calling up Santana /Quinn to come compete.

Kitty to me is more entertaining than Quinn ever was.

Kitty IMO is a one-note cartoonishly evil Quinn/Santana wannabe. She's as one-dimensional as the rest of the underclassmen.

Well Kittys one scene of showing humanity was cut from one of the episodes where she apologizes to Marley. Though Marleys dialouge was just like Rachels when she gave her little speech to Quinn so thankfully they cut it.

I find it odd that I find myself more attracted to Naya in a 30 second M&Ms commercial than I have all season on this show. I honestly wonder if I've become such a TV nerd that bad writing is like my version of a cold shower... :o

Did you ever think that maybe it was the m&m that you were attracted to?

Ryder is singing "The B-itch is Back" VS. Unique singing "Dress You Up" in "Feud". People are speculating Ryder's ''scary'' storyline might be transophobia. I hope not.

Episode 17 is called "Guilty Pleasures".

A song I've waited for them to give Santana since season 1 and they give it to RYDER?! This ****ing show, I swear...

Ryder has not remotely the kind of attitude to pull off a song like that.

Even having Unique sing it would have been better.

This has got to be one of hte most ridiculous choices in this shows history. That song is not for Ryder in any universe. He has spent all his time wanting Marley and being the nice stupid guy and now he is suddenly a *****?

I knew of all people, you would share my rage. :o:up:

If it is I wont mind it that much since the high school had a hard enough time accepting Kurt. Cant expect everyone to accept/understand Wade, esp in high school of places. People have hard enough time accepting it in the adult world. And frankly I tire of the Glee club being shown as saints who accept everyone. My only problem with it would be that this would come out of the blue instead of being built up to.

Great minds rage a like.

I half agree.

Realistically, Wade/Unique should get more of a reaction out of people than he/she does.

But Ryder? Who has sat side-by-side in the choir room with Unique all season and has never been portrayed as giving her a second glance?

The only credible motivation I could see for Ryder conveniently suddenly caring about Wade being transgendered is if Wade tries to flirt with him or something.

maybe Ryder is suddenly pressed into a situation where he's 1 on 1 with her... or she comes on to him? or maybe there's some absurd glee reasoning as to him being objected to dressing like a woman, and has a hard time with it?

This is the show that had Blaine inexplicably go off on Sam about being a stripper for 30 seconds, without caring at any other point in time before or after, and had Sue suddenly be a raging verbally abusive transphobic when she was all over getting Kurt into a dress last season, so it's not like they care about whipping up contrived conflicts out of nowhere.

Well, "Dress You Up" is sort of a love song, and I remember Alex Newell saying that Unique would probably have a crush on Ryder among the guys of the club.

They're probably doing this to eliminate Ryder as a credible love interest for Marley, as they have done with most third parties of their romantic triangles.

OR... Unique could be meddling in Ryder's relationship with Marley.

OR... They're simply doing it out of fun because it's the students who come up with the feud theme to ease tensions between Finn and Will.

Anyway, some other information: Finn will tell Will about kissing Emma, Marley will tell Jake about Ryder kissing her, Rachel will find out about Brody's secret life as an escort, Blaine's crush on Sam will be revisited, Santana and Brittany won't have any interaction in the next three episodes, Adam is not on episode 17.

Ugh, I'd rather Jake be the third party and Ryder/Marley be the central ship.

lol he still exists? :o

Adam is a laughably irrelevant "third wheel", from all we've seen and heard so far.

He's not even significant enough to be called a third wheel.

Supposedly, he's getting some spotlight in these next two episodes.
