The Force Awakens Han Solo Will Return

Don't bring back Solo. Everyone loves him, I know, just don't do it for the sake of the story.

I don't think you have to worry about that.. Not to many people come back from that.. Although crazier things have happened.

It worked REALLY well, such a well-done scene. And no, it wasn't "rushed" imo. Nor are the comparisons to Obi Wan/Vader all that valid, imo.

It was a powerful scene. Reviving Solo is throwing it all away.

I'm really interested to see what Lando's reaction (because I almost positive that he'll be back in Episode VIII) to it will be.

That would be good to see!

I had a feeling something dramatic was going to take place. I just didn't think it would happen the way it did with [blackout]Han at the hands of his own son Ben Solo aka Kylo-Ren[/blackout]. It was a reversal of Luke sparing Vader's life in "Return of The Jedi". Futhermore I think [blackout]Han's death[/blackout] actually moved the plot along. It effected Chewie, Leia, Rey & Finn.

Harrison Ford had literally been begging for the death of Solo even back in the ROTJ days. He finally got his wish.

I just didn't buy Solo as an action character/hero in TFA. Let the kids romp around and get dirty. Solo, as an elder statesman, can offer his weight, wisdom and gravitas.

Give Solo the dignity of his age and let his character breathe and grow. Instead, JJ ran out of ideas and copied and pasted cookie cutter han from ep 4-6 and super imposed it onto a "sequel."

This!

:waa:

Sad to see it happen and the way it did but I agree it was a well done scene and had a good effect in the story

I read that Kathleen Kennedy confirmed that Ford, Fisher, and Hamill are all returning in Episode VIII...

I know that [BLACKOUT]Hamill[/BLACKOUT] is returning. Don't know about anybody else.

Wha? ... how is that possible?

"Search your feelings..."

what? But he died...there's no way around that!

Maybe we'll see him in some form but through flash backs?

Yeah I'd imagine flashbacks of just a few years back...or dream sequences from Leia

Or he left a pre-recorded message/hologram behind.

It's the exact scene from Star Wars.. Complete with the Luke / Rey character looking on in horror and shooting at the bad guy.. It was completely ripped from Star Wars... Go back and watch it.. As a matter of fact this entire movie is really one big homage to Star Wars a new hope.

And I do feel it was rushed .. Based on that it did not solidify the new bad guy as a full fledged sith... As seen in the other guy saying he needed to complete his training and then him being bested by the hero.. They could have built up to it as another poster said.. They could have used this movie as character development for the said bad guy and in the second one had him face down his parent.. This scene that we witnessed is nothing more than a replay of a new hope .. And I do agree it is a inverse of the whole Luke Vader thing from Jedi... That's why mentioned that he has this whole twisted Luke with a little anakin thing going on..The scene really missed on me. I just had that I've seen this before feeling . But again if that works for you and others.. That's fine.

I'm glad the character went out the way he did. It was a beautiful scene full of pathos. As waiting to do it in the next film, why exactly? Itupped the stakes for the next film and it was done to further Kylo's character arc. It seems people just wanted more of Han. Which, I can't blame them.

Me too. I’ve seen it 3 times, and it’s broken my heart every time, but I think it was well done and I’m very curious to know where Kylo Ren goes from here.

I'm guessing Ford returning will be a flashback with Han,Leia and young Ben/Kylo
