The Force Awakens Harrison Ford interested in returning....

EW has been wrong before and print retractions and corrections in their magazine frequently.

And I'm sick of all these "sources." Tell me who it is.

The reason I don't like it is, anyone can say they talked to a trusted source and many on the web often do and it gets spread around and reported as legit.

A couple months ago people were going on about and believing there was some 3 hour director's cut of Dark Knight Rises coming out on Blu-ray.

I tend to buy the storyline that Ford has already done another Indy and has expressed some interest in a bladrrunner sequel. The thing that fans often overlook is that the film business is a business. Its all about making deals and negotiating, and in that sense you can never say never.

I love the man to death and love SW. But it'll be kinda weird seeing him back in costume...

IF the old characters return (Han included), i want them handled right, with appropiate storylines. I dont want them back due to nostalgia.

If Harrison Ford comes back for ANOTHER Star Wars and can deal with that. He is agreat actor but it could be a bit awkward seeing an old Han Solo :(

I think its logical to have them back, and not be just nostalgia. I sure hope pure nostalgia is the case. They don't have to be the main focus, but I'm dying to have the original trio back. Mainly Luke really tho.

Is that for real or just photoshop. Yeah there's something about it that makes him look damn cool as an old smuggler-head!

I would like to point out I hope Ford grows out his hair and even maybe salt and pepper it up instead having pure grey!

You know, if all this is true and everyone is interested in making even the breifest of returns, I cannot tell how excited it makes me. My only other wish was it was this easy to get this together on a film like Ghostbusters III. Guess even Ford is easier to work with than Bill Murray.

I think Bill Murray just doesn't see a third Ghostbusters turning out well. The second one got back the original cast, had the same director and writers and yet it still turned out to be what's regarded by many as a disappointment (though I like it).

I think some of the actors have gripes over the movies they were in due to how hard they were to make, but most still have a degree of fondness for them and what it meant to most of their careers.

I always loved Han and to see him as a grizzled old badass would be cool, but I think it needs to be balanced carefully with who the new lead is.

well ford said han should of died in ROTJ i also think he said the character wasn't that interesting to him especially when you compare it to indiana jones and blade runner

Not a coincidence that he was the main character in the other 2.....

I liked RotJ but Han did lack a decent arc or Plot B (unlike the other two) after the Jabba scenes. Maybe he should have died but then again I liked what we got.

Funny enough Ford didn't think highly of Blade Runner either. But again, he's backtracking a little bit on that film too.

argh, can't wait for solid news to come out...everything i've been hearing says this will be a brand new story...so...why bring back almost the entire main cast?

It's the cover of the book called "The Joiner King". Pretty good 'shop, though.

Great news if true, that means the seemingly hardest actor of the holy trinity to get is in. This is getting better by the day!

Ford has been so... disinterested in Star Wars over the years. I don't buy this for a second.

Why not? To anyone old enough to have seen the original in the theaters, those memories are locked for all time. It's worth the risk. And w/the people handling it and $ at stake those risks fall dramatically.

I'm fine with Ford returning. He's a good actor, still, and Han is my favorite Star Wars character. Hamill still has it as well (at least in the voice acting area). So I'd be fine with bringing everyone back for one last romp. The bits I've heard about the next part seem interesting enough as well.

I wouldn't mind if they put a lot of the stuff from the books into 1 movie (if possible). Have episode 7 feature the old cast, show the start of everyone rebuilding post empire, and do the more important plot points from the books. Episode 8 can then pick up years later, maybe following the older Solo kids. If Disney is planning to do new entries for a long time, with no end, they can always just use 7 as a send off, and have 8 a connection, but still start off fresh.

As for Han dying, honestly, I dislike that idea. Just brushing off one of the most popular characters is never a good idea, we saw Cyclops get that treatment already. A cameo would be fine, dying in the first 10 minutes would probably send a lot of ppl home with a negative reaction.

I'm not sure why Han should have died. Maybe Lando if it would've made for a big emotional reveal.

But if Lando had died we wouldn't have gotten those great moments with Nien Nunb.

seeing as though the story for these next 3 movies take place 30 years after ROTJ, I see no reason why Ford cannot come back.I really don't think Disney is going to use the original cast in the entire new trilogy. I see them as bridging the gap to the next set of characters, which will more than likely be Han & Leia's kids along with any Skywalker children there may be.

If Ford returns, he needs to grow out his hair a bit. In fact, Ford looks better with longer hair these days. Anytime I see him with short-hair, it looks bad because his hair is somewht thinning. But his hair in 'Cowboys and Aliens' would be a decent look for Old Han.

Do people actually want Han Solo to return in his old costume? That would be a bit ridiculous

I love this video of Harrison Ford saluting George Lucas at the AFI Lifetime Acheivement awards a few years back.

I can see him agreeing to come back in some capacity if the stars align right for this thing.
