That's not fair, just because people disagree with you about the film doesn't mean that their opinions need to be flawed in some way and based on them not giving the film a chance.
Let's take for instance, the debate about the imagery of destruction, films aren't just about hard, solid plot points. It's a visual medium. It doesn't matter that outside of the imagery of destruction in Metropolis at the end that 99.99999% of the rest of the Earth is untouched. The film's imagery doesn't really show or emphasize that. You get a bunch of dark scenes i the rumble and then go straight into a twilight hour grudge match with a very dark ending. It's completely understandable why many would feel like that is an overly dark ending for a Superman film. After all, Superman is supposed to be the optimistic hero, the symbol of hope. And no, I'm not some Donner/Reeve fanatic. I just feel like Snyder and Goyer failed in bringing to life the Post-Crisis Superman I grew up loving. Hell, if the film was just coloured more brightly and vibrantly, it might help with a lot of the oppressiveness of certain scenes.
Man I think you don't understand.
First the amount of destruction and the casualties are not as many claimed. As you can see here..
you know it was a pretty big city and the attack was at the center of metropolis also knowing that the amount of destruction was 25% IMO that THANKS TO SUPERMAN most of the lifes were saved by stopping the WE.
you did say it OPINIONS but some of their opinions (I´m not saying all) fail to be an opinion and look as if were biased reviews talking about nosense just because they didn't present the OMNIPRESENT, ALL I CAN FIX SUPERMAN (That as you should know was only the Donner one and precrisis cause the one of the comics Byrne and most comics essence that this movie is based was about Superman never give up no matter if he can't save everyone and making mistakes, the key is his courage and KEEP trying to do the best THAT'S SUPERMAN

)
and those Superman's donner and precrisis one now in the 21st century are just oldfashioned and don't fit, you know FACTUAL...
Snyder and Goyer did a great job doing that PRESENTING a hero with troubles showing that he cannot save everyone no matter how powerful he is and putting in a position that any othe hero wasn't (I see how they had the balls to do it knowing some people will not in favor)
the emotion was enough to make the character realistic not the fantasy world just laughing and smiling, putting how superman felt at all his childhood and youth (feelings, problems, bulling). But we see no matter how suffered he always took the best of the people and appreciate the good things some people did to him, the symbol of hope was there, savings, fighting, destroying the WE with his powers decreasing, never giving up, the scene of Lois at the scout ship, the kid clark scene, and choosing the humans over his race that was HOPE (never GIVING UP) that was SUPERMAN..
I've never said that the movie hadn't flaws(as any other movie has) and respect your opinion but just can't agree with "some people's" "reviews"...
