Each to their own, I think the MOs/BvS Superman suits are the best Superman suits ever
 
why would anyone prefer the Superboy suit or frankly anything superboy related over MOS/BVS?. That show was a bigger embarrassment to Superman lore than any live action media has ever been. Good god.

Treat yourself. Buy Superboy season 3 and watch Roads Not Taken. Then get back to me.

Not just the definitive classic suit, it stands up to the great, too, MOS suit.

Silly me, I love them both. its not one or the other suit, its both and...

Outside of the Chris Reeve films, Superboy was one of my first exposures to the character of superman. I watched that show religiously and as a kid I loved it, but then I grew up and realized just how cheap, not just production wise, but storywise that show was. Also don't get the love for the suit either. I admit it was a step up from the Reeve films in terms of quality. However what made that suit silly is that the guy in it, Gerard, was built like a twig compared to Reeve and even Routh. What made Reeve so good in a suit that is quite cheap is that Reeve wore the suit, the suit didn't wear him. His presence, charisma, charm, made you believe he was real, the suit didn't. Gerard was just a glorified male model/day time soap type actor who didn't command in the role. Plus as I said, no physicality, he looked like a fan at a comic con convention. Just my two cents.

I'm confused r u talking about the actual Superboy suit or the suits from Smallville?
Before MOS my fav live action suit was Dean Cain's.
 
The new Superman suit is one of the nicest ones today. So nice. Way better than the original suit.
 
I think we're veering off topic alittle bit here so I'll bring it back to Cavill by saying that the MOS suits that Cavill filled out gracefully is THE best superman suit EVER IMO!!!
I don't really like MOS all that much but if Mr Mxyzptlk showed up infront of my monitor right now and told me that he could wipe MOS out of existence I would most certainly say NO! Especially if it means that we won't have Cavill and his suit gracing out screens.

Easily. Retains all the classic, iconic elements but brings it into a modern reality.

No undies. Long majestic cape. Elevated chest symbol. Alien glyph texture. Nice serious shade of blue. Unique \S/ shape.

And then BvS improved an already great suit by making the colors richer and even more vibrant. Wilkinson is a genius.

I feel sorry for you. I was probably 2 when I got hooked on the Fleischer cartoons. Then there was superfriends, the movies, STAS/JL/JLU, ect. But those Fleischer cartoons still hold up pretty damn well (a lot better than STM) in comparison to other interpretations of Supes.
 
I think the MOS is the best superhero outfit put to screen, bar none.

You're daaaaaaaaaamn right. People can say what they want about the movie, but I don't see how anyone can look at the MOS suit and say they prefer the old school leotard (which was fine in the 1970s, but with today's technology, it NEEDED to be updated). I like the BVS suit too, I just wish they hadn't altered the belt and the boots. It still looks amazing but I preferred the original. However, I do like the additional detail they added to the S symbol and the muscle definition.
 
Believe it or not, there were/are people who didn't/don't like the suit.

I think my least favorite thing about the new suit is the boots. I've always hated the double "M" embellishment.
 
Is there any images of Superman from the prequel comics out yet?

Oh I know there are, it just leaves me scratching my head. It's faithful to the original design, yet it also looks fresh and new, both alien and regal.

Dean Cain wants a Lois & Clark reunion.

Dean Cain would simply "love" to see a Lois & Clark - The New Adventures of Superman​ reunion - and so much so that's he's promised Digital Spy that he'll do his very best to make it happen.

The 49-year-old actor –​ who is taking part in Channel 4's The Jump –​ added that it would be "incredible and insane" to finish the series off somehow.

"I'd love to see a reunion happen," he told us. "I'd love to finish it off somehow - that would be insane. It would be incredible. I wish someone would get on that.

"I'll do my best to make it happen. I tell you what, I'll be in shape after this competition, so maybe I should get time to shoot it.​"

On whether he's still surprised at how popular the series is - which ran for four seasons between 1993 and 1997 - Cain continued: "I love that. it's fantastic! I'm still such a huge fan of the show.

"I thought Teri Hatcher was the greatest Lois Lane ever. And Lane Smith was the greatest Perry White ever.

"I was very proud to be a part of it and I'm still proud to be a part of it. I'm Supergirl​'s dad now in the new series, and that's becoming a pretty massive success in the States. Hopefully it'll do well in the UK too. She [Melissa Benoist​] is amazing."

Cain also revealed that he feels "honoured" to still be a part of the Man of Steel's world, adding: ​"I always want to be a part of the Superman universe. I enjoy it so much and I respect it so much, and I'm honoured to be linked to it in any way shape or form.

"These guys are doing a great job with Supergirl. The stuff my character is doing is great. I just embrace the heck out of it. It feels pretty good."
