So are we done with the whole 'He's not muscly at all, every pic that makes him look big is a muscle suit' stuff now?

Can we just accept the guy is huge now? I mean look at that neck!

Also, Henry Cavill will be shirtless at some point during this movie :woot:... there is now officially no girl who would come out of the cinema unhappy :p:
Truer words were never spoken. I'm almost ashamed of the thoughts that went through my head when I saw these pics...

I said almost. Seriously though, *swoon*. :atp:

Holy crap, I actually just drooled on my keyboard. That is one manly man Superman.
Yeah, so much for people worrying about emo Superman in Alaska. More like pissed off lumberjack Superman.

Holy crap, his chest hair is like the one Superman used to have in the 80s-90s.

Awesome.

I know the first pic already hinted at this, but it deserves reiteration: it's about time a live-action Supes looks like a man's man, and most importantly, someone who you don't want to ever cross.

Putting Cavill across the others, it's almost a wonderment why he's the first actor to convey sheer power. All those years of crossing fingers, hoping he'd get the part, it's all payed off.

Yeah, I'm so glad we finally have a Superman with chest hair, lol.

Man I'm so behind on all the set pics here. But cool stuff, Cavil sure got in shape for this, he's got the Supes look down.

It's actually really cool thinking that this is the kind of movie I can watch with my girl friends as well :)

Finally!

Another thing I've been saying for a while.

My standard for the physique of Superman:

He needs to look like he could easily kick my ass in a fight, even without powers.

Otherwise I have trouble enjoying the movie, I just see a wuss in tights with cinima effects powers.

I don't have to worry about that this time around. :awesome:

It seems as if he does in fact save someone in this scene. Lois Lane hears about it, comes to report on it, Clark Kent than shaves for a more clean cut look to remain in hiding.

Loving the chest hair, instantly makes him more manly than he is in Smallville, as well as making him more manly than both Cap and Batman(not human torch though go figure)

It's so funny to my girlfriend how quickly I checked the shirtless pics when I saw they posted it on the shh page, but yet everytime I see a commercial or movie with a shirtless guy in it I'm like eww...tell me when it's over Lol

I saw those pics and I thought someone had snapped a pic of me as I took out the garbage last week. Then I was like oh thats Henry Cavil.

Now now, we must rise above the urge to say I told you so :)

But we did bloody tell you :p

While Cavill is obviously in great shape, he is not big. He is is ripped not big. There is a difference. I'm not saying he didn't put on any size, because he clearly did, but I wish people would stop acting like he's huge. You can even clearly see the difference in the magazine cover and that shirtless pic. Angles people! The cover shows his size, which isn't all that big, but it cover's up all his muscle detail.

I couldn't care less whether or not he has a muscle suit, which he clearly does underneathe. Usually every costume has a muscle suit. I don't see what the big deal is. It's just suppose to add a little something extra to the actors physique.

I'm sorry, i'm just not seeing what your seeing...

In Immortals, he looks ripped, but he doesn't look quite as wide/big as he does here. It's not much, but to me it makes a difference.

For the record, it doesn't matter to me if there's a layer of padding in the suit... it just makes sense so that the muscles look good in every shot from every angle.

well I guess that ends the "he's wearing a muscle suit, those are real" chat lol. Already said it before that Cavill has the look and this just proves it even more........still wish they had a better suit but meh :funny:

I love how regal he looks. :yay: It's really just perfect for Supes.

Indeedy! :awesome:

On the contrary, I'd love to meet him....and then have him protect me. :awesome:

He's not big compared to a bodybuilder, but he looks to be a solid 215- 220 in the new pics, and nobody would call that small. He bulked up as much as his Ectomorph build allowed him to, and hes got some cannonball delts to show off.

I just said he put size and got bigger. I clearly stated above he put on muscle.

However, that does not imply he is actually big or "huge" as you said. He is more ripped that he is actually big.

But seriously, who cares?! I do not know what fanboys/fangirls feel to argue and justify every little argument they make. Who cares if he's wearing a muscle suit or not or isn't as big as you'd like or if he's bigger than you like.

Bottom line is the guy is in great shape. Does it really matter?

Never said he was small.

I said 'Can we just accept the guy is huge now?'

You picked at it, and said he's not huge, he's just big...

And i'm the fangirl who is argueing about whether he's big or bigger?

I think that was kind of a pointless disagreement then wasn't it...

Why pick on the fact I said he was huge, only to then tell me off for justifying why I said what I did?

And I clearly said (though you seem to have missed it), that the muscle suit debates never bothered me. I'm happy with him wearing one...
