I really liked Absolution, but I think it has quite a few noticeable flaws. The story is nonsense, even compared to previous games. I liked that they tried to provide a better narrative, but it wasn't written all that well and everybody over acts which I find detracts from the experience. Plus it didn't really come to a satisfying conclusion.
You need to replay the old games. This is easily the most cohesive story IO has put out for this series. We got more insight into the mind of 47 in this one game than we have in all the other titles combined. The acting fits in fine with the world IO has created. This is an over the top, darkly comedic world. This isnt something Chris Nolan has created.
I would have preferred some contracts and maps that weren't tied to the linear story path.
That wouldnt of made any sense tho, based on the story IO was telling.
