happy that Ted and Robin are not ''status quo''.

i have to give the writters some credit for at least trying to cofuse the audience with Quin and the wedding.
they have been teasign the wedding for 2 seasons and they spend 1 season teasing who is with Barney. there is no way that they would spoil that its Quin in episode 19. there will be a ''twist''. in the casino when Barney is on the phone Quin is breaking up.

Yeah I could see that happening or maybe Robin/Nora expressing their love for Barney over the phone.

As much as I would like it to be Robin, Quinn fits with the group good. If its Robin that could be what helps her and Ted get back to normal.

Ted says that he will not see Robin for a long time. he will not se her until Barney gets married. you know where she is. ;)

best possible way to end the series

funny that you poste this because i was reading a crazy theory today.

Ted and Robin are together. but they can not have kids since Robin can not have them. so they adopt. and the story to the kids is a story to their real mother who they never met. its just crazy :lmao:

Clever. But I wouldn't enjoy it, I'm not a proponent for Ted/Robin ending up together.

And the one hole I would punch in this theory is their (the children's) surprise at the end of the first episode. If Aunt Robin is basically their adopted mother why so much disdain/surprise that he had a fling with her?

My friends theory is they do end up together but only after the mother dies after giving birth to two kids.

All of that falls apart by the fact that he refers to her as Aunt Robin.

It's not going to be some crazy turn of events that makes Robin the Mother or any of that. Ted meets a woman, makes a baby in her, then makes another one in her, then a few years later he tells those babies about it.

Part of me knows people make up these crazy theories just to entertain themselves but I think some people really want to make things more complicated than they need to be. This show will be straight forward. Ted will meet the mother and she will be the biological mother of his kids. No adoption or second marriage will be involved. Ted and Robin will not end up together. People need to let go of these theories and just enjoy the story (which will be straight forward).

I think people like doing the theories and all that because with this show there are twists and turns. So everybody wants to outsmart the writers and guess the ending when chances are they will probably do something a little more "fairy tale ending" than what we are expecting.

:hehe: at the beginning of tonight's episode. Guy going crazy thinking Barney is up to something when all he's actually doing is going out to fart.

Robin said she never gave up anything for her boyfriends at the beginning of this episode. But she gave up her dogs for Ted. Lying *****. :o

It's interesting to see that Ted will have (what I assume will be) his first child in three years. I guess we will definitely see the mother at the end of next season, which should give Ted about a year with the mother before she gets pregnant with their daughter.

I love when the show fast forwards, I wish they'd do it more often.

Anyone else notice that when college Ted and Marshall imagined 2003 there was a giant "sandwich" on the coffee table? :hehe:

I just find it funny that they still do pre-2005 flashbacks for Marshall, considering Jason Segel looks a good ten years older now than he did when the show began. NPH, Radnor and Hannigan haven't aged a day, and Colby only looks slightly older than she did when the show premiered, but 2012 Segel practically looks like he can be 2005 Segel's father. :o

Loved the episode. Always enjoy the Ted-centric episodes.

anyone else find it interesting that Ted's, dream girl was Robin as a blond...

is that kinda hinting at that the mother will be blond (or that at least he prefers blonds)

No it's just that they had to give Robin a role where she wasn't playing herself or she wouldn't have been in the show at all for the most part.

That might've been it. It's also nice to see that the first version of the ideal girl was a bass player, which has always been something Ted wanted. It kinda makes me wonder if the mother will turn out to be the same girl he stood up when they found the perfect match for him online at the end of season 1.
