The Dark Knight Rises Ideas For Incorporating Characters Into the Nolanverse

i like it would we make him albino for the right coloring?
and tyhose frezze suits arent far from a design i did using a modified nomek survival suit(the first batsuit). and he would havethese therom goggles that would see in like thermo waves or something they glow red and with helmet on give a very creepy red glow through the bullet proof glass visor he has on the helmet
Sounds kinda like Predator Vision!

Clayface could be an actor who uses prosthetics to look like other people. He causes havoc, robbing banks as the late Dent, kills corner dealers as Gordon, all caught on camera. The city looses hope, thats when they know they need Batman.

IMO, there's no reason to do Clayface unless they're gonna go all the way, otherwise Batman's just chasing a lame Scooby Doo 'master-of-disguise'-type baddie.

Man those mission impossible flicks really killed the whole "masquerading in advanced prosthetics" device for me. but i guess if clayfaces disguises werent perfect, like he was only seen quickly or at a distance, and simply have the actor playing clayface made up to look like who hes impersonating, instead of having the actors who play the characters hes impersonating at the moment do it, then id be interested.

Smoking Aces does a character like that, I could see Clayface as something similar.

Just as a little "quirk" for The Riddler, I would give The Riddler O.C.D. or some other psychological problem, which could further push his need for "arrogant" crimes.

the riddler's riddles as a result of a compulsive disorder is something thats been brought to the fore in the comics repeatedly by now. They are indeed his sickness, o.c.d. and narcissistic personality disorder manifested. im sure nolan would tap into this readily if the riddler is used.

Mr. Freeze is a third tier Batman villain - I can think of twenty Bat villains I would rather see on film, not the least of which is Kite Man.

Someone who feels the way I feel.

Freeze= Rock .If you consider him third tier, you are stuck somewhere in the Bronze Age. I dont want to see him because he lies so far beyond the pale of reality i wouldnt want to see him diluted, nor would i be able to take a watered down freeze seriously in the nolan world. That is why he should not and most likely wont be touched. He is however one of the most interesting and intimidating bat-rogues. freeze is heads above ivy, harley, firefly, deadshot, clayface, zsasz, and croc in my book. Go read "Snow" or "Under The Hood" where he's just a complete psycho. Snow paints him as more sympathetic, but still bat**** insane, being guided by elaborate psychadelic hallucinations of nora, and such. In "Hood" he is a cold, sardonic mercenary hustling for Black Mask.

I feel the same way, except replace "Freeze" with "Clayface."

The original Clayface was just an actor who wore a mask according to the Batman wiki. That could easily work on screen, though I'm not fond enough of him to really want to see him.

Haha what the..?
Sort of looks like something Freeze might wear right?:woot:

He could be some random criminal the Batman stops in s short sequence of the film, like the beginning showing that he goes after all criminals on a regular basis and not just the big ones the movies focus on.

BOUNTY HUNTERS. This would be a great way to start up the movie. The Mayor, without direct permission/correspondence with Gordon gathers the worlds finest assasins and great minds together in an effort to find and bring in the Batman.
DEADSHOT and BLACK MASK stand out of the stray of low rent thugs and hitmen.
HUGO STRANGE (Seems wierd but think about that great animated series episode when Strange was trying to sell the identity of the Batman to gothams underworld)
Meanwhile, Commish has his own man on the case, EDWARD NYGMA.
The first third of the film should be the manhunt of Batman. This could make for a really exciting "amazing race" type of situation to start the movie up with a bang. But when NYGMA does actually get the Batman in a brilliant trap, the film switches gears as RIDDLER blackmails the Batman into doing his bidding.....

I'd love to see Deathstroke in the next movie, but it would be hard to do, being that he's metahuman and all. He could be realistic though, given the right circumstances. I don't want him to have anything to do with Ras, as I was dissapointed when Scarecrow was working for him. Both villains, Scarecrow and Deathstroke are stand alone villains, not needing other villains to put a whole world of hurt on the batman. So I see Deathstroke as a vigilante, very much like Batman, but without Batman's one rule policy. Deathstroke kills people, and will go to whatever levels necessary to do what he thinks is right. This will bring him in to contention with Bats, and we could have one of the greatest fights ever. That's just my two cents though. :woot:

How about The Reaper?
From the BYTB site "Years ago in Gotham City a burglar shot Judson Caspian and his wife Mary. Mary died, and Judson was crippled for years. When he recovered he vowed revenge and took up the costumed identity of the Reaper. The Reaper mercilessly stalked and slaughtered criminals, resulting in Gotham City having one of the lowest crime rates in the country."
He could work plot wise to show that even though Batman is a vigilante, that he doesn't cross the line.

Or Abattior? He's relatively simple and realistic. He's a psychopath who carves the hearts out of people and animals in order to "ascend to a greater power" so he can rule the world.

Or if we want to go way further, the Black Hand? but it's far too introspective for a huge movie.

The next movie needs a scene where Batman takes down some ordinary nameless criminal, not a supervillain.

i meant somethin to keep his eyes warm or to really i just put them in there cuz i dont see many freezes without the gogles

Great idea man!

Yea Deathstroke could maybe have the same ideals as Batman, that justice must be served. But he is willing to go all the way.

And yea a fight between them two would be absolutely EPIC!!! I can picture it now, a rainy stormy night, Batman is on the rooftops scoping out a drug deal about to take place. Then all of a sudden out of no where a shadowy figure jumps down before him and starts slicing and dicing the gangsters. Batman jumps down to stop him, EPIC battle ensues. :applaud

The next movie needs a scene where Batman takes down some ordinary nameless criminal, not a supervillain.

I meant, make him some random, human, serial killer.
Not a super villain. Make him the actor who wears a clay mask and kills people. But not some major threat, someone battle just stops quickly.

Example. He attempts to kill a person and Batman stops him and then we move on from there.

Batman stops random thugs all the time, mostly hired goons. But this guy would be high than a hired goon or thug, but not as high as a serious threat like Joker. He is more like a regular killer, or he could be I should say.
Just an idea, but I agree. Batman does need to be shown taking down all sorts of criminals.

He it could be pretty cool to see Batman take down some thieves who are trying to rob a Wayne Enterprises delivery or something. Just to get the ball rolling at the start.

Edward Nashton( as I call him in my story on account of his name appearing in the vial sites) and his alter Ego the Riddler are actually separate characters for most of the story. At the beginning of the film there have been a series of murders known as the “Riddle Murders” on account of a Riddle being left behind on the body of each victim(all are criminals with extensive priors). No one can figure out why or who is behind these odd murders of various criminals but most of the GCPD and Gotham citizens figure it’s the Bat-man on account of the other 6 murders he allegedly committed. The only thing that doesn’t add up is the riddle left behind, why would batman leave behind a riddle after he kills a thug? So in order to assist an already dysfunctional police department, Gotham City’s Mayor hires a Private Investigator to help with the solving of the riddle murders and the batman murders and to see if there is any connection between the two. What no one knows is that Edward Nashton is actually the Riddle Killer (dubbed as the Riddler for short) and is killing off (what seems to be random criminals) and trying to frame the bat-man. (but there is a much bigger connection and reason for the murders…but I need more time to figure it all out).

Black Mask/ Roman sionis is similar to the riddler in that the two characters aren’t revealed to be the same until around ACT 2 or 3. Roman is a failed business man when we meet him, bits and pieces of his childhood are revealed through dialogue (he was abused and neglected) and Wayne Enterprises bails out Romans failed Cosmetic Business. We see a flash back of Roman and Wayne as kids (both growing up in wealthy families), we can see the moments of true jealousy towards Bruce from Roman in the flash backs. (how Bruce’s parents were a lot more caring, and Roman’s were neglectful and full of hate toward the waynes.) Roman is not a major character (yet) but his alter ego Black Mask has a major role. Black Mask starts to become a rising gangster in Gotham (very greedy and desperate for power and revenge). Black Mask goes to a famous night club in Gotham called “The Iceberg Lounge” where he finds Oswald Cobble Pot who is a known secret Weapons Arms dealer. Sionis pays Cobble pot what he has left to secure a shipment of illegal lethal weapons into the city. Unsure about the certainty of arrival of the weapons, Roman asks how Cobblepot plans to keep the batman out of the way. Cobblepot reveals his plan to hire a trained assassin to take care of any bat problems he might have.

Catwoman is the trained assassin hired by Cobblepot to kill the batman if he gets his nose into the penguins business. There is an obvious feeling of emotion towards both batman and catwoman when they first encounter each other, but as batman refuses to kill a trained killer catwoman is reluctant to finish her job, but the catwoman has confused feelings towards him none the less. There is not a major role here but enough of a side story to keep the male female ratio intact and to give the girl friends of the guys seeing this movie something to listen to.

Cobblepot/ The penguin has a minor role as well in the movie. He is just basically a Weapon Arms dealer who assists Black Mask in his goal to become the most feared and respected person in Gotham. He could be considered as the middle man between batman and Black mask. Batman eventually takes Penguin out of the picture after he gets passed catwoman and uncovers black masks plans for power.

I have written a synopsis, and the first act of my script for anyone who is interested in this stoy line. There is a lot more to the story. (Gordan, Alfred, Fox) all have roles similar to that in BB and TDK. Oh and I have written a Grave scene as well in ACT 1 because a lot of people (including myself) were angered at the lack of one in TDK.

Thank you :yay:

Hush could fit into the Nolanverse perfectly. A friend of Bruce's who comes to him unexpectedly to save his life, who would be the last person you'd suspect to be his enemy. He's an underrated character that I think would be interesting for the fans and casual audience to see.
