The Dark Knight Rises Ideas For Incorporating Characters Into the Nolanverse

By the way cryogenically frozen people are not kept alive, they are preserved. Maybe freeze is trying to find a way to cure her cancer, which has stopped her heart. He should be denied funding and then forced to terrible things to get money. He should fear that when he finally meets his love again that he will no longer be himself. He will simply be an empty void that she can no longer love. I would rather him have a machine that sprays liquid nitrogen.

the liq nitro being funneled from the machine to a gun like object

I there must be some good reason for that. No weaponized artifact that sprays liquid nitrogen is going to be better than a regular gun, spraying regular bullets.

he can use it as toture or somthing cuz spraying liq nitro with free and stop blood flow, so they wont bleed out., he could tie them up if he needs information, spray their hand and than shatter the fragile ice, they wouldnt beed out cuz its already dead tissure

Well, that's a use I can see him doing. Torture, not bad. As I say, he can use the liquid nitrogen for a number of purposes, being fully aware of its properties. But he wouldn't really use it as a primary weapon. Without a proper context or explanation, it would be too cartoony.

This is why I don't see Mr. Freeze working in a Nolan movie as a main villian. The whole freeze-gun thing is too out there. A doctor who cryogenically freezes his terminally ill wife is plausible enough for a Nolan Batman movie, but the guy going on a rampage shooting people with liquid nitrogen just doesn't make any sense. These new Batman films aren't quite as realistic as some suggest, but thats just a little too fantastic.

I do really like the idea of Clayface as a master of disguise. I've thought about that as well. I don't care for the idea of him being a jealous actor though. I envisioned him more as a criminal mastermind who uses disguises to frame his enemies and push his agenda without being identified.

One idea I had for Clayface was that he would disguise himself as Jim Gordon in order to get close to Batman, either to try to identify him, or to lure him into an assassination plot. Penguin or Black Mask enlisting the help of Clayface (the trap) and Deadshot (the sniper) to set up an elaborate assassination attempt could be the balls.

And until a ban on assault weapons is passed, fire arms are going to be much more accesible to him..... unless he already needs and wears the suit when he starts making the freezing gun, because, let's face it, no arms dealer is ever going to sell a weapon to that guy in an armoured suit and blue skin.

what if penguin sold it to him? snd what's up a freeze gun we've got flame throwers?

Yeah it sprayed nitrogen. It might be based on something real, but most likely not. They tried to capture predator by freezing him, which lead to the final battle between danny glover and predator.

Liquid Nitrogen would be an ok torture, but it can freeze the nerves causing no pain, it is extremely cold causing intense burning to living objects.

oh right well can't they use that I mean just because it might not be real doesn't mean you can't make it real in a film.

Yeah in the movies anything is possible. They had a concentrated microwave emitter in the first film, which was not real. Liquid nitrogen has great properties, he could freeze entire walls and break through them with nitrogen(to rip off banks, it can freeze metal not made for extreme freezing temps, ex. steel and so on, but titanium can hold up to it, just becoming extremely cold). The problem with liquid nitrogen is that if he freezes bruce he will most likely die.

Personally It would make a lot of sense if he was albino(having red eyes, with little vision, or hair). He could also have a birth condition in which he requires cold dry air.
I would rather he be completely obsessed with a girl he treated while he was still an M.D., she developed cancer which brought on heart failure, so he cryogenically froze her, preserving his great love(they were never married), until he could cure her. When the medical board finally found out what he had done, they sh** canned him and sent police after him. He only had liquid nitrogen on site, so he used it to kill the officers(knowing they would send him to jail and take away his love). His constant exposure to liquid nitrogen burns his skin causing near death. He uses the rest of his money(that he obtained over a long career as a doctor)to build a suit in which to work in this environment(with titanium and other non freezing materials). He builds a gun similar to a flamethrower, but it sprays something that he has an abundance of liquid nitrogen. He needs money to continue his research, so he hires a bunch of nobody bank robbers and begins robbing banks and taking money(killing the men as he believes they are a hinderance to society, he is extremely vain, believing himself smarter than everyone as well). He does not want to kill batman, but if he gets in his way, he will do what is necessary. In the end he would kill everyone in gotham if it meant saving his love.

and there are mini liquid nitro guns, like torch size or spray can size.

Sorry man, you have some decent ideas if another director was at the helm, but Mr. Freeze just isn't going to happen, no matter how you try to adapt him. There are plenty of Rogues who are probably more interesting characters who would make a much more seamless transition to a Nolan film (Riddler, Penguin, Black Mask, Deadshot, etc.) And although we don't have a script, we do have a pretty good idea of the tone and story arc of the next installment and I don't get where Mr. Freeze would fit into any of it. All of those villains I just named though seem like they could be logically placed in the story, as well as my version of Clayface - and maybe even your re-imagined version of Bane.

i know that. i stated it earlier. It was just a how could. My bane is pretty solid, but i did not create freeze, just alter it. My bane, black mask, poison ivy, could be easily transitioned into a good story, if adapted and edited. Freeze and firefly I believe are the hardest to adapt. Since most of the technology is completely fake.

I would, love to see clayface, much more like his original comic version(not a gigantic monster). Bane could be done great(or terribly as we have already seen, since he is never a pawn in anything and not a mindless henchman in the comics). At this point I just really hope Batman 3 gets made.

I think my mad hatter and croc are easily nolanated versions as well. Especially since the Joker hardcover(i recommend you at least look at it). It has many real takes on the rogues.

I like deadshot as an assassin(since in the comics a sniper tried to assassinate gordan, i believe hired by black mask)

you know this trilogy is a realism trilogy what if the next trilogy will be a fantastical

I have no idea what will happen, but I hope something happens.
It's like preparing for an old person to die, you don't know if he's going to. . . Maybe we should make preparations if it doesn't, such as a suitable fill in director.

NOLAN IF YOUR OUT THERE. IF BY SOME MIRACLE YOU READ EVERY BATMAN/SUPERHERO FORUM. WE NEED YOU MORE THAN EVER.
PLEASE NOLAN COME BACK.

NOLAN! "If you leave us now, you take away the biggest part of us!! ooooooo don't Nolan! please don't go!"

Boom nolan breaks down the door and says. "Ill always be with you". . . points to heart. . . "in here"

The last one was fantastical. I wanna see the next one take a sci-fi turn, or even horror.

Yeah thats what I meant, fantastical I meant you know fantasy like have Batman fighting Clayface, Mr Freeze, Solomon Grundy and Man-Bat.

Boom nolan breaks down the door and says. "Ill always be with you". . . points to heart. . . "in here"

and then every fanboy just faints

oh yeah good scene. But i think for the next trilogy we get to see the more fantasy type villains with a director who can do that sort of thing. It would kind of be like with each trilogy is a new era of Batman.
