IGN's top 10 worst comic book movies of the decade

LOL.

I'm sorry but the movie is baaaad. Not Batman & Robin-bad but not much better either. For every Bat-card there's a dancing Parker.

I don't agree with the whole list though.

SM3, Daredevil [at least the DC], and X3 should not be on that list..x-men 3 wasn't as good as its predecessors but i wouldn't say it was trash, neither was spiderman 3.i agree the 1st ff was bad while the second was garbage yet it is not on the list, along with superman returns...and another thing, Why does IGN hate Spiderman 3 all of a sudden? They gave the film 4/5 stars.....Spiderman 3 may not be as good as the first two films, but its not honestly that bad.

I agree with almost everything, but I liked the second FF but dislike the first :p. Never trust the critics, or sometimes other fans/readers. I never liked IGN anyways....:D

Can't spell "ignorant" without IGN! ^_^

Seriously. Batman Begins? When did they try to make it like that? That's what the reboot is doing. Eyeliner? Where?

I could never stand that place. Yes, their movie reviews aren't bad, but their lists and game ratings are just untrustworthy. They couldn't even give a valid reason other than "it was a too crowded". Does that make it the worst though?

There are hundreds of better reasons to put SM3 in that list.

I don't necessarily think that it was one of the decade's 10 worst either, but to answer your question: the review you are talking about was one writer's opinion. Another reviewer on the site gave it two stars out of five and the writer who wrote this piece obviously ranked it even lower.

It's awesome to hear fanboys say "The poll doesn't mean anything, it's just a bunch of people voting who don't know anything", and then we get another poll, that's pretty much just focused on the site itself, and they still whine.

Face it, the movie sucked.

And yes, I get why they brought up Batman Begins, because they tried to make it dark with the symbiote arc. And they couldn't.

Wow. You've opened my eyes. You've changed my opinion!

Dude, stop trying to tell us what to think. Us fans don't care what others think. We're not going to dislike a movie because some guy on IGN does.

And no, you're dead wrong. He said they TRIED to make it like Batman Begins, as if they came and said "hey, we're trying to make this like Batman".

Fact is, the movie had it's dark moments. Was it like Batman? God no. Should it have been? Hell no.

The Australia guy did yeah.

As I said before, their movie reviews are usually in my tastes. If I ever care to know what people thought of a movie before I rent/watch it, I check them or Yahoo.com. IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, etc just suck.

So, you don't care about IGN's opinion.

Excellent, why critize it then?

I agree; that was a stupid opinion.

SM3 had no actual dark moments.

Er...how long has it been since you watched the movie? I mean, it's things like this that make me go "" because I don't get where people come off saying things that do not make sense?

I mean, whether you liked or hated it, and whether you thought it was corny or not, there were dark aspects to the film.
1. The whole revenge storyline
2. Spider-Man attempting to murder Sandman
3. Throwing a bomb at Harry
4. Eddie praying to God/Jesus for Peter to die
5. Peter slapping Mary Jane

I mean really? You think those were all light and in good fun? Come on man.

I'd call them "dark" in name only. Yes, they got the idea of "dark side" right. But they weren't actually dark (ala Nolan Batman). For once, Eddie praying God for Peter's death was laughable (I mean, no one's so stupid to turn to God to ask him for some innocent person to die). But in the end any darkness was covered with cheese.

You wanted Spider-Man to be like Batman?

Okay.

at least brock had motivation, as opposed to the comics. wwahhh, you exposed my fake news story, I HATE YOU!!!1111

Hey, I do like the comics' version.

But I will say I do like the movie's as well. It fit in more with it. As for "no one's stupid enough asking God to kill someone"? Man, I'm sure it's been done. By who? People with ****ed up minds. Eddie would be there. Obviously a bit crazy.

Well, I agree. The comics version was cool, I just liked his motivations better this time.

Since it's clear that I didn't say that I'll cut it right to the clarification: if you want to have dark moments, make them dark. If you put cheese on them they won't be dark. Batman is not the monopoly of darkness you know.

The problem is that there's a difference between stupid and crazy. Now if Raimi wanted craziness to the point of asking God for something God is world-wide known for NOT to do, the he should have gotten a better writer and/or better actor.

El Payaso asked it correctly; if you don't care about others' opinions, why bring your "I kiss Raimi's ass" opinions into this? I don't understand kiddo...enlighten me.

Yah, they tried, and they did not succeed. Sure, Peter slapped MJ, sure Peter threw a bomb at Harry, BUT...they went with kiddie-dark, mind you. Harry should've died. MJ should've got her neck broken hence Peter having superior strength...which, I never got that scene. They never went with realistic dark, they only made it "seem" dark, but instead went back to its audience, tweens. Sure, you can't really go into "realistic dark" with Spider-Man, but Sony are wanting to go to "gritty dark", which will most likely be realistic dark in their aspect. Meaning, if a bomb hits four inches away from your face, you WILL die in the film.

And...Nolan's Batman is NOT the only dark comic-book adaptations out there.

You have heard of The Crow, right?

Some of those movies are still enjoyable. Actually there are only about 4 in there that I think are putrid and I wouldnt waste my time watching them. The rest I can watch and be entertained by it.

SM3 didn't try to be dark if they were going for that angle there wouldn't have turned parker into a dancing jazz playing wannabe.
anyone who thinks SM3 tried to copy BB in any shape or form have lost their minds, if spider-man is following any kind of formula its 70's/80's superman.

No...you're completey wrong .This proves my point even more. YOu say "it sucked" making it sound like that's fact. It's not fact. It's an OPINION. Your opinion is pretty much as unimportant as us S-M3 supporters are. And on, i'm not being mean, I'm stating facts. YOu hated the film? Okay! That's your opinion. I loved the film, and that's my opinion.
