Incredible Hulk director has been picked!

I'm not worried about a damn thing. It's gonna be a blast. C'mon Retro I rarely see you in the worrywart crowd. Don't fall into that pattern please. ;)

Director Louis Leterrier gets the Hulk. Then says this, Quote:
I can already tell you that I don't intend to use as much 3D as the first movie did. As for the budget, it will be over 100 millions
What 3D?

Another non American director will handle an American icon, I'm officially worried? Didn't they learn a thing with Ang Lee!

Huh, well... at least it´s not a remake...

If they don't get Bana I bet they redo the origin which they should, & bring in Rick Jones.

I've never seen so many scared little kids in my life. Get a grip. "officially worried" because a French director may or may not have said 3d. Maybe he said CG and the person doing the interview thought he said 3d. What do you think? That because he's French and possibly said a wrong term that he signed on thinking it was a 3d movie? C'mon. Relax everyone why does every film and every news release have to have threads inundated with worry. What is there to worry about? Are you honestly going to lose sleep? People were *****ing about the CGI and when they think there's the chance of less CGI suddenly they're worried, they liked Ang Lee now that a new director has been hired but didn't like him before, they thought the other film was too dark and now it's gonna be fun and lightened up people are worried, everyone was shouting for the film to be remade...then rumors swirled that it was a remake and everyone was worried. Now it's not true and everyone is worried. This place needs some Lithium.

If you're going to worry about 3D, maybe you should read bweurk's post above.

I just found this forum! Cool!!!!

Finally, I've been waiting for this.

this movie doesn't seem so promising.

Yeah.. in way i'm worried too.... but HOPEFULLY we'll be proved wrong... I walked out of Transporter 2... Awful.... (snuck into 40 Year Old Virgin-LMAO Great movie) Transporter 1 is alright... WAY better than the second...

Damn this is the best they could do. A grade Z director with only two ****ty films under his belt. This guy is going to make people like Ratner and Mark Steven Johnson look like Spielberg and Jackson.

Don't forget both those movies were from FOX, a studio that interferes in all movies.

Have u watched unleashed a movie guided under a different studio?? It was an awesome movie!!

If NOT then u have no right to say this director is a Z grade director.

Both the transporter movies were action movies and that is what FOX likes the most. They don't care about story BUT MARVEL will make sure HULK 2 delivers in action+sfx and story.

I am sure this movie will be a 100% awesome movie.

they haven't released any pics or other official news yet, so why is everyon soooooooooooo worried

I have my concerns with this picture. I don't want this to be a pure action film. I want the movie to retain at least some of the intellect Ang Lee put into the first. I just hope Marvel doesn't go out of their way to make this different. But with the words of the new director (can't comment much on him because I avoided watching Transporter 2 with my life, and didn't see Unleashed) and Penn where they keep saying the first was wrong, it appears like that may not happen.. I hope Bana and Elliot come back. I hope this movie turns out well, but I am nervous.

I really enjoyed Unleashed. It had a great balance of story and action. However, Transporter 2 was just horrible - every inplausible! I prefered the first Transporter over the 2nd.

Let's see what he can do, however it should not be a re-start, I would prefer a sequel.

everybody has their bad films, but Letterier has worked on Unleashed, Aliens4 and The Messenger. i'm pretty confident that he can handle this.

now as for the writing.... that remains to be seen.

Zak Penn will be fine. X3 wasn't COMPLETELY his fault. Fox is the main reason that movie was such a travesty. I rather liked his script, besides how Phoenix and Cyke are treated in it.

Considering that X3 and the Daredevil DC are BETTER movies then War of the Worlds, Munich and King Kong, that's a step down.

The only part of this news that I hate is that the guy is a frenchmen. Will Bill O'Reilly go see the movie?

This director did a stunning job with Trasnporter and Danny Boy. Danny Boy was kind of weird but that's the material, and yeah T2 was over the top ridiculous at times but...he directed the material fine. They guy has the right style for this film. The Hulk gives him the best material for his style. I'd rather see him doing this than Iron Man.
