Incredible Hulk director has been picked!

This director i'm happy for. They just need to kick Penn off the script and get someone who's not gonna base the film off a failed Hulk run because it reminds him of the tv show. :(

zak penn!!, the movie's gonna be cheesey and everyone's gonna get killed off.

this guy didnt direct both Transporter movies

Just like he killed everyone in X2.

This guy wasn´t my first choice to direct the nex Hulk film (didn´t even cross my mind) but I guess he should be able to handle the project. Transporter was a good film and it´s action scenes were great. Transporter II was ok but they went a little to far with what Frank could do and not break every bone in his body. Dany the dog was at best mediocre film, good fight scenes but very dull other wise imo.

Now I just hope that they will get the movie into prodcution ASAP and get into theaters :)

Great choice!!!!.Leterrier will make an awesome, action packed Hulk movie!!.

I'm not really confident about this choice, the guy knows how to do over the top action which will be good for a Hulk movie, but has this guy ever made a movie thats over 90mins in his life?

he's never had the budget to make one

Danny the Dog, or Unleashed, is 102 minutes long and is his second and best film he ever directed. And he's only directed 3 films, two of which were intended to be mindless action blockbusters, one of which was a very human story.

You do realise 102 mins is 1hr 42 mins with credits right? So the actual movie is what 98 mins?

I'm satisfied with this choice.I loved the Transporter films and Unleashed so I can't to see what kind of insane action sequences we'll see.

I think the choice is kinda original... they're taking some "risks" and i like that. Experimenting with new directors and that thing. Though I didn't like much his Asterix, very cheesy... but I haven't seen the Transporter...is it good?

It was average at best, i had it on DVD but got rid of it after about 15 viewings.

These choices SCREAM safety.

Marvel hires a director of zero substance action movies and a writer who's already written them a successful franchise. Boy, they REALLY don't want another Hulk repeat, do they? and they're making decisions based on fear. I mean, these choices aren't just different from Ang Lee, they're the OPPOSITE! It's actually kinda funny, but also kinda sad.

No truer words. I don't expect much from this film.

I know what your saying and i agree with some of it, but i wouldnt call this guy a safe choice. He never had a hit movie in his life and has only directed 4 or 5 movies. If anything they are taking a risk IMO.

Very unexpected choice.
I haven't seen the Transporter movies nor Unleashed so i'll need to do my homework before saying anything about the choice.

Some of the stuff i'm hearing about the story is good. The journey stuff basically started at the end of the film but why do they think they need to disregard the first movie.:down
