Is anyone else getting a bad feeling?

I feel like they are taking the lazy mans route and not doing enough justice to the characters

Might die? I wish.

Yes. The preview just made me confused towards these feelings. I really want to like it, but just can't get over the death of Scott. At least the way it happens. And if Rogue gets cured, I will have lost all faith in the movie. No matter how great any of the rest of it is.
i agree with you i planned on watching the movie 5 times the opening weekend, but if rogue takes the cure ill only see it once...and if no flames im not buying the movie...ill just DL it

What did he say about the firebird?

that the effects team were working on them... or it ... I can't remember. it was a while ago..but now im starting to have the benefit of the doubt about all this. whatever. If it happens, yay...if it doesn't, im keeping my expectations low...but on second thought, I could use a memory wipe. :o

I'll buy the DVD for completist sake.. I even own Mortal Kombat Annihilation, it's kinda an OCD thing.

I don't necessarily agree. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see the Phoenix effect in all it's glory, but I think the ending of X2 was just vague enough that they didn't have to reference it. Plausible deniablity if you will. The hurdle is that they're gonna have to (I assume) explain to the audience why Jean is projecting this kind of power effect.

True, and I agree. And with X3's running time there may not be enough time to explain that, lol. :p

I really loved the X2 effects, and was eager to see them expanded in X3. I'm hoping they're still holding back on her full-blown effects, but who knows.

I just wanna see the Phoenix bird once! I was told a long while ago there would be something similar to that. Who cares if it doesn't make sense? The fans will be happy! :D :O

I'm just worried about how long it will be. It better be over 2 hours and 15 minutes.

I'm also afraid the movie won't do well.:(

I just don't understand the outrage over Rogue getting cured and Scott dying. This kinda stuff happens in comics ALL THE TIME. People die, people lose their powers. It's not like they made Xavier and Magneto former lovers or cast Colossus as a six year old Asian girl.

It's 1 hour and 40-something minutes (with credits) confirmed by SHH :o

I'm not sure, but I think the Junior Novel did say something about her
making the giant fire bird.

Maybe I'm wrong. I can't remember at the moment.

that 7min clip was better in the wmv format it was better quality and made more sense. Also you can see Jean she has her HAIR ON FIRE LOL im sure at least once her whole body will burst into a firebird maybe when she rises dunno even though i just want to watch it as a full movie.

It's not. It's time to begin the "acceptance" stage of grieving.

Sorry, webhead. SHH!'s writer just came back from a screening of X3, and he timed it. :( :down

I think it would be best to show the firebird when Jean rises from the lake

100% correct, ive already begun by timing how fast an hour 40 minutes goes by around the house, adn gauging how x3 will feel.

lets see. im rewatching X1 because i thought it was hella short.

WOW, WHAT A GREAT WAY TO END A THURSDAY.
DANG, THIS RUINED MY FRIDAY TOO....

Well, this sucks SO much.
I don't know how they can get ALL of this, into such a short movie.:down:down

I thought X1 felt short because not a lot really happened. There was more story than anything else. However even with the short length for X3, it would be better than X1.

Come on FOX, don't mess this movie up!:(

Would you rather have Phoenix flames and no Sentinel, Danger Room, or other costly effects? They cant do everything, give the movie makers some justice.

Here's the deal... we will get three very good films.... the franchise had the potential to be great... but it never quite got there... even in the first two... overall it's going to cap off a very good trilogy... but not great... this was the worst case scenario... but what more could you really ask for after everything that happened with the swapping of directors/writers...

I want three good X-Men movies, just like I want three good Spider-Man movies.

The real question is: "Is anyone else getting tired of new threads posting the same concerns???"

I'll tell you, if Cyke dies mixed in with the runtime...I will be one unhappy X-fan and I will hope that we will get a reboot a few years down the line.

I still believe Simon KInberg. I'm betting that they're still tweaking the Phoenix effect FX for the final cut of the film. The current press screening isn't necessarily the absolute final cut.

A tiny tim?

Only one thing to say... God bless us, everyone.
