Is anyone else getting a bad feeling?

Here's the deal... we will get three very good films.... the franchise had the potential to be great... but it never quite got there... even in the first two... overall it's going to cap off a very good trilogy... but not great... this was the worst case scenario... but what more could you really ask for after everything that happened with the swapping of directors/writers...

How about you see the film first before making an ass out of yourself? Regardless of what some anal retentive fanboys may think, X2 is still one of the best adventure films released this millennium and Last Stand has the very real potential to top X2.

Bad feeling? Not really. I kind of expected this since the rushed production. I'm going to keep low expections. I just keep repeating this:

Scott will get demolecularized. Rogue will get cured and go home. The movie will be rushed. Ian McKellen will pull this off. The Sentinels won't be at the final battle. There will be a happy ending instead of a cliffhanger.

:) I may be proven wrong or I may be right. It seems so hard to NOT enjoy the movie, from what I've seen so far. The actions look awesome. This may be the last movie or the last one of the trilogy. They may not be another X-Men movie for years to come.

Better than nothing.

Who wouldn't be getting a bad feeling?

These have become the 'Message Boards of Doom' over the past 24 hours or so.

What's going to happen after everyone actually sees the movie for themselves?

::shudders:: :eek:

eh. it looks good so i assume itll be good.

This movie will be the best of the 3

yea i ahve faith in that statment actually. Because X1 did indeed kick ass, and this is the end. X2 was the midpiont

|---X1---|------X2------|---X3---|

sorta liek that, x2 was the bridge, so it needed to be longer I say. X3 will be a nonstop ride. it will be liek X1 but with alot more action, better effect(WAY better effects BTW) and a sense of completion is always good.

Hey you got your own opinions... i got mine... but I really don't think critics and casual fans would call this the best of the millenia... don't kid yourself man...

Yes about the last two, not so much about the first two. How is it that the Phoenix bird we saw at the end of X2 won't be in X3??

could it not have been great? as long as its good?

I agree Spidey 2007, I think every scene will be amazing and no time will be used on anything that doesnt need to be there. I like how you said a "nonstop ride" thats what I'm hoping for.

I hope they don't mess up any big characters too.

The important thing is we are pretty much in agreement that this will be a solid film... maybe even better than the first two.... let's keep in mind how this franchise had to recover with the losses behind the scenes... we all kill FOX (myself included) for ****ing out franchises, but it worked with what it had and it will be a good film... just not great (or so I think)...

i say every character will be given justice in one way or another. really i think this to be true. i mean you have to have faith in the writers and brett, they realize wth they are doing. Even if Cyclops...well you know.... i think by what he shot, will be amazingly emotional, and better then anything wolvie can pull off. I just have to start accepting this is a movie and it doesnt hae to follow the comics exact by placing cyclops in wolverines place in x3. i mean hey, at the time way back when...joker didnt kill batmans parents.....ya know. but i guess thats a bad example, all i can think of, lol. i love wolverine, and i really think this will be something to behold. theres STILL hope for cyclops, and i think every other character, even angel will be at peace and find a home.

Heres hoping for an Xavier School picture to start the credits at the end:up: god i would **** in my own mouth from that... lol

I'm actually hoping it does "stop" for a bit, or as they like to say around these parts, give the movie room to breathe.

X2 was great yes...but it lacked a lot. X3 will surpass it easily.

I do think it'll be a solid film. But it kind of sucks that what could have been breathtakingly awesome, may just be "solid".

oh yea, we all know it will have the slow pionts, but the "slow pionts" themselves wont be really slow, because i think they will be jammed packed with emotion...ect...ya know what i mean. it will be the most enjoyable ride in this trilogy, is what im trying to say...

it may be short, but it will be VERY entertaining, i can confirm that!

I think it'll be way better than X1, but I think X2 might pull out to be my favorite. I do think Ratner most definitely nailed the special FX (Colossus still up in the air) and for that I'm thankful for.

I think it will be the best as well... if we only had a half an hour more... ah i should just get over it already....

I still do not understand how people can make pre-judgments about this movie and have not even seen it. It is ridiculous and assanine.

Me too. But I'm excited about everything but the runtime. I don't mind the death of Scott, lack of Phoenix bird, etc. It's the runtime that is the only real deal breaker for me.

Yeah, I don't know. Some of these supposed intense "emotional" seens fall flat to me . . . and some are almost laughable at points--for instance Angel's emotional scene in the lab . . . it was okay, and then he started running . . . and then I wanted to laugh at Foster . . . it was more of a what the hell kind of a moment--the same with Mystique's "meat sack" line . . . wherever that came from. I think Janssen's scenes will be the most emotional, and hopefully the best--and we've yet to see the brunt of those . . . so hopefully the emotion of the movie plays out well.

I actually agree.

After watching the 7 minute preview, these scenes that appeared to be really powerful and emotional in the trailers, didn't quite amount to what was expected.

They weren't bad.

But for instance, in the trailers, Magneto's speech in the church was spine tingling. In the 7 minute preview, it was just kinda "wham, bam, I'm mutant hear me roar" and just not as powerful.

I did, however, have a geek-gasm when Callisto
asked him "You're a mutant? Where's your mark?" and Magneto replied "My dear, I've already been marked, and they won't ever touch my skin again" as he showed his tattoo from the concentration camp.

Except I've spent a good 2 years keeping tabs on this movie only to have it turn into a trainwreck.

I'm allowed to be upset.
