me too, but hey....its DB, DB it always about cool....action...kicking ass...stuff...and out of this world attacks and stuff like that, so i expect this to be as good as the anime/manga.

if you want to own the ''haters'' whait until the movie is out and lets see the opening and full BO, then and only then if it makes a lot of money and people will like then you can own the haters.

for example there were a lot of good shots in Hitman. but as a whole it was very bad. max payne had IMO the look down. it looked very good. but the acting,editing was so bad that it was pathetic.

action looks good in the trailer. who knows how the action will be even edited in the final version. maybe it will be choopy,fast .

I think we need to see the movie before passing judgments. However, this movie is looking a lot better than say, 2 months back. The tide is most definitely turning at this point, hopefully, the moon doesn't pull a Majora's Mask.

there were some changes in the effects but this was never the big problems.

A very good question.. But it's possible that because people are seeing more of the picture that they are enjoying more of what they are seeing..

I think that will most likely be the case. I don't think Roshi will have a gold/yellow Kamehameha, though. He might have a blue one with yellow/gold tints like Goku's is blue with reddish/purplish tints.

The original Dragon Ball was a big part of my childhood, but this movie seems so different from the show I grew up with that I have not been able to get very excited about it. From what we have seen so far, it is easy to infer that the movie is dark and unnecessarily modernized. The character of Goku seems so fundamentally changed that I cannot recognize him as the same character Akira Toriyama created. Various unnecessary additions, such as the high school scenes and the Fulum Assassins (which look like Power Rangers rejects) also seriously hurt the movie’s case. Don’t get me wrong! I want this movie to be good, and I will still go see it in hopes of being pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately, at this point it seems our only hope is that Fox has purposely been advertising select scenes to appeal to a generic audience, but that most of the movie retains the spirit of the original show. Based on Fox’s recent performance, it is highly unlikely that this is the case.

Just wait until you see the movie. After you see it, im pretty sure you will change your mind about them looking like power rangers rejects. Never judge something before seeing it in its final version. All monsters/zombies/creatures look crappy in pre-production, but in the final product, im sure the Fu Lum assasins will look great and scary. Just wait and see.

i gotta agree here. I've stayed out of this section of the board because i was enraged and disappointed by what we were beginning to see from this movie,and now that more is showing up, i guess you could agree that the hype build up if growing,but im still just not feeling excited by this movie

in i a way deep inside i understand that they ''hollywoodized'' the movie .

but one of the biggest problems is that they dont treat it like GI:JOE,TF,speed racer,batman;spiderman,.....
you know? a huge budget with tons of money shots. years ago when i was reading thosse rumors that maybe they will make a DB movie i was thinking matrix,batman,spiderman,..... i was thinking hollys..... how awsome would an DBZ movie look with todays effects.
fact is that this movie is a writters strike movie. it was rushed. lets not forget that first it was meant to come out on august.but it was delayed because FOX had a reality check. it was rushed . those are facts. not the effects because they delayed and they had automatic more time to finish them. but filming was very fast. and IMO they didnt really spend a lot of time to make this on matrix reloaded level.but i know that even if they would have time they wouldnt try better. fantastic four,rise of the silver surfer,... are proof that they want the quick money.
i think they will have some good action shots. but i would really love to see something on a scale of Independence Day,godzilla,TF,...something really huge. something where teh whole world is in the danger and goku needs to defeat teh villain. maybe even something similar to Final Fantasy advent children.
