Is it taboo to discuss issues of race on the Hype?

Whether it is the truth or not, it doesn't need to be said. It's these matter-of-facts that reinforce racism.

No they don't reinforce anything.....the power elite in this country will never allow a minority to become president.....its as simple as that....and how does it reinforce racism?....outside of race, I don't think Obama has adequate experience right now.....

Your point was that he will not be elected because he's black.

Put together for full affect...

racism will definately be a factor that will hurt obama's campaign

Yeah, there are bandwagon jumpers that can make it more difficult, but they usually don't jump in unless there is a legitimate reason. And yes, part of taking responsibility is accepting that you may have made a mistake. It's not always dropping blood in a shark tank or whatever the hell you guys have said.:yay:

I think it's 50/50. there are some legit cases no doubt but it often feels like simply causing trouble and playing rebel.

Tell me about this incident.

There was a guy trolling the Bat section, I IP checked him and it matched several of Brodies SN's including the Waterologist and Darren Daring, he has 80 plus, all banned but 1, his notes said to pass any situation with him to Ex, so i did and Ex banned his Darren Daring name and said he was out of chances, Drak showed me another way to test IP's and although it did match Brodies it also matched another banned user "DRT", so i unbanned Brodie's, Darren Daring name and apologised to him in the thread and in PM's for the mix up.

Oh yeah, IP's definitely like to play mind games with moderating staffs, unfortunately.

It's the same on the reverse too. Most of those debates spawn simply because Christians can't comprehend atheism. The atheists, in turn, tell them why they don't believe it. Some people cross lines on both sides and try to shove their beliefs down other people's throats. Some people are just too touchy and just can't leave each to his own beliefs.
I hate everyone.. that's why I'm agnostic :yay::up:

For everyone dumb ass white guy who won't vote for him because he's black there's a dumb ass black guy who will vote for him just because he's black.

1 person with that mindset doesn't matter, 1,000 people with that mindset does matter. I'm 28 and a lot of people my age and younger have that attitude as well. I figure, if you don't vote, you don't get to complain. I vote because I can.....

Um...move to a more diverse part of the country.

My fear is this: Obama won't win because he's black. Hillary won't win because he's a woman. Middle White America will want a white man and we'll get another four fun filled years under a Republican by default.

yes it is sad :csad:

Maybe your neighborhood's not, genius. I don't know. I'm not there. But I know when I got to vote, I see plenty of people represented. Old, young, black, white, hispanic, Asian, etc.

yes GENIUS.. cause when i say i see/meet alot of people who are black and hispanic with that mentality it really means im judging with NO PREMIS :whatever:

Logic its whats for dinner

WTF are you talking about? You said blacks and hispanics don't vote. I say they do. I've seen it plenty of times. Your reply has me confused.

I'd like to know what a PREMIS is and how I go about getting one. Because without one, you are apparently judged, and that's no good! :csad:

I know this is not a political thread, but I generally agree Obama has little to no chance of winning and race is the biggest factor. A Black man may have a chance of winning within the next five decades, but one with last name Obama and has little experience is in the ride for his life. And the first Black national party nominee is gutting get mucked to the ground. Even if he's a Republican....

I think Hillary has a decent to maybe even good chance of winning the presidency. Yes, being a woman may hinder a political candidate, but Hillary has the asset of her husband and his last name and she seems much more intelligent and cautious than most politicians.

I think she will be attacked in sexist ways, but I feel Hillary will be smart in fighting those attacks and use it to her advantage.

The Iraq War has given Democrats an advantage. Hillary Clinton has the ability to beat a Romney or Thompson. I don't know about Guilliani, but I don't think he's gonna be the Republican nominee.

The Dems squandered their advantage away in recent months by utterly failing to get any kind of timeline or withdrawal action passed....they also dropped the ball on the wire-tapping as well.....
