I wonder if they'll re-release the box set next year with Skyfall included. If not, in a perfect world, the studio would give a free / discount copy of it to those who bought the box set because frankly, it would be a waste of a good Blu-Ray case.

I just realized something about the bond 50 set box cover. Was it intentional they have the 4 most popular Bond's highlighted in bright Gold and Dalton and Lazenby sort of to the side in front of the darker section?

Seems kind of blatant actually. Almost like yeah these guys are here too if you're into that...

Considering that the all the other Bonds have each have done as many or more combined, and all the others have had major B.O. hits as Bond, I'm not surprised at this subliminal advertising.

Yep, as soon as the Bond 50 cover was released that's exactly what I thought, too. Lazenby and Dalton have always had the 'other guys' tag about them. It's routine for them to get the shorter end of the stick in compilation books. As a result I bought a great making of book about OHMSS and recently ordered a making of TLD book by the same author. I also bought the making of LTK off ebay last year. I prefer the other Bond actors but Lazenby and Dalton's films hold their ground pretty darn well for perceived 'black sheep' - they're standing in the black section of the cover while the other four are in the gold.

At least it has no competition with The Hobbit. It was ridiculous for the powers that be over there to schedule releases for TDKR and ASM on the same day. With the Expendables 2 the following week. lol

It doesn't help matters that the actual percentage of profits the studios can take from china are extremely limited too. The Chinese government makes it so that studio's only a get a small take of the Chinese domestic grosses from those films.

More than likely not. This was really only done out of 50 years of Bond, and why I absolutely refused to get it. It's not the "complete" collection, nor will it ever be. Lol

Well since Casino Royale rebooted the series what they should have done Is have a DR No to Die Another Day Collection for previous timeline and have new Blurays for Casino Royale
and QoS.

I saw where they're doing a Bond 50th celebration at the Oscars this year. Wonder if all 6 actors will show up. Or, should I say, I wonder if Sir Sean will show up. It would be great to see all 6 Bonds tuxedoed up on the same stage. Sean has done Oscars before, so who knows? Guess we'll find out next month. But I hope so

By the way I loved Skyfall. Been a Bond fanatic for over 40 years and I'm thrilled that it keeps going! I'll always be a Sean guy (my g-g-generation) but I love what Daniel has done with the role. I also think Roger, Pierce and (especially) Timothy have been underrated. Don't think George was great, but he made a great Bond film (love you Peter Hunt) and as an "old-timer" I'm ecstatic that the Bond films keep going on! I've seen every one on opening day since Live and Let Die and I can't believe it's 40 years ago! Or that it's 30 years since the "Battle of the Bonds" in 1983! Seems like yesterday. Guess I'm an old bastard! Anyway, just wanted to say hello to some fellow Bond fans and to say I'm so glad the series is in such good hands with Barbara and Michael. As Bond fans we should all be happy.
