According to Craig there are 3 "hooks" in the movie and he said two might work. I really think one of them is going to involve M.
I have a feeling that one of the hooks is blofield.

Skyfall (Bond 23) - 02-12-11

The "Skyfall" production team have been shooting more scenes in London. Yesterday, the cast were at the Four Seasons hotel in Canary Wharf. More precisely, the spa area was closed to the public for the duration of the filming. Despite the infinity pool having great views of the River Thames, for the purposes of the film, the windows were blacked out. MI6 understands that this location will double for a scene set in Shanghai. The pool will also feature a glitzy martini bar in the film.

Daniel Craig thrashes out a scene for the upcoming James Bond movie Skyfall in an uber expensive rooftop pool.

On Quantum of Solace:
Turning his mind to Bond, Craig admits that ‘Quantum of Solace’ (2008) was a frustrating experience, not least because the Hollywood writers’ strike meant they ended up filming with an incomplete script. ‘We were [frick]ed,’ he says. ‘We had the bare bones of a script and then there was the strike and there was nothing we could do. We couldn’t employ a writer to finish it. There was me trying to rewrite scenes – and a writer I am not. We were stuffed.’

On Skyfall:
‘Early on, we sat down and we just rabbited for hours about “Live and Let Die” or “From Russia With Love”, and talked about little scenes that we knew from them. That’s how we started talking about it. That’s what we have tried to instil
in the script.’

Bond swimming in a rooftop pool? Classy. Little informal scenes like this is what we need. CR delivered in that aspect. QoS was shaped like a bullet and didn't have room to breathe.

Barbara Broccoli got her wish with Craig taking his shirt off.

Agreed.

Ok my final update on my James Bond marathon!

GoldenEye
I remembered it as a much better film than it actually is. It's a good introduction for the Brosnan era (which I think does a very good Bond), it was fun, but I also forgot about it right after it finished. The tank chase was very cool.

Tomorrow Never Dies
Probably an unpopular opinion, but I found it to be the most entertaining of all Brosnan films. The subject of people/someone controlling the media is interesting, the action scenes are all great, and the pace of the film flows naturally. It even reminded me a little to old Bond films.

The World is Not Enough
This is were my attention started to drop. I didn't like it that much. The villain was meh, and the whole thing just didn't fit all together.

Die Another Day
I have to say, the first half hour of the movie is actually very good. Started different, and promising. But after that, it just went to that part of the Bond movies where it becomes silly (like... Moonraker type of silly). And this time with overuse of CGI (which might have looked good at the time, but some scenes look a little terrible nowadays).
I did like all the little details from the previous movies, for the anniversary of the Bond franchise.

Casino Royale
Without a doubt, one of the best, if not THE best, Bond films. Everytime I watch it, I get into it right away. Again, it flows great, Craig just hits the right marks with the character, both action and story/villain are incredibly satisfying to watch.
The whole reinvention of the franchise injected a good dosage of original ideas, even the new gunbarrel scene makes better sense. What a great film.

Quantum Of Solace
This one is a little bit more difficult to review. One part of it does a great job, specially in the action scenes (little bit of fast-paced editing for my taste, but it really didn't bother me much this time around), but the problem is, there are so many, with little plot or dialogues in between that is just one great chase after the other. Craig is still great in the role, just he didn't have as many things to say in this one. He's pretty much going along for the ride.
The plot with the water supply was interesting, but they didn't develop it as much as I'd like to. From what I've read, the director was trying to cut the length of the movie, and by doing that I think they removed part of what made the previous one so special, which was the 'humanized' element of Bond. Or how he starts to become the James Bond we knew. That's a great arc to follow. I even liked how certain plot elements and characters from Casino Royale came to some sort of conclusion in this one. But still. Is a good action movie, just not a very good Bond film. Specially after what came after. Probably it's true that the writer's strike made an impression of how the film was completed.

Anyway, with Craig, Mendes, Dench (I love her character), Bardem and Fiennes on board in Skyfall... I think we're in for a great movie.

No, it looked terrible at the time too.

Craig was at the Moet British Independent Film Awards last night and was clean shaven. So the bearded part of the shoot is over. I wonder if we're going to get another 'becoming Bond' type moment, like when Brosnan shaved in DAD? - which itself was an anniversary film.

This project is starting to excite me again. I guess it's the set pics, but more than anything it's Craig's comments on the film and the franchise. Coming from a no-bull kind of guy like him, the direction this movie is apparently heading is great.

My problem with TND is that it doesn't go deep enough into that for me. The media storyline felt a bit shallow. I think it could've been explored even more and that Carver could have done worse things to screw Bond, and MI-6 over. He definitely could've been more ruthless too. Carver I find disappointing.

In a way, TND felt like a Roger Moore Bond movie made in the 90s, which isn't that much of bad thing because I don't find TND to be bad (I find it an okay Bond movie), but personally, I find it a disappointment to Goldeneye, especially when you compare the villains.

I want a five minute (or longer) no-cuts scene where Bond gets inside a hotel room, takes off his jacket, locks the door, goes and looks for hidden cameras and microphones, sits donw on the bad, takes forth a glas and some scotch, fills the glass with the scoth, looks around, takes a sip, stands up, goes and hides microphones, put on his jacket, checks that his gun is loaded, puts it back in the jacket, unlocks the door and goes out again.

You forgot, *with the Bond theme playing in the background*. :woot:
Ah yes, slowly slowly the guitar strings play.

I cant be the only one who misses these scenes from the Connery movies. Those were so awesomely chillaxing - Bond doesnt have a care in the world and just goes about his way as slowly as possible :word:

Eh, those scenes were only from the first two Connery movies (Moreso FRWL than Dr. No), when it was a bit more grounded in reality.

Helen McCrory reveals she's not playing Miss Moneypenny, instead she'll be playing a politician and member of the British Parliament called Clair Dowar.

So we can rule her out, once again I don't mind not having Moneypenny returning but knowing that Q will return it'd be lovely however.

The problem Is this could be Q In name only.especilly since they cast a younger guy as Q.It may not even be same classic Q character but Like Die Another Day calling another character Q.

So far I haven't heard much that leads me to think this Is a classic Bond film like Danial Craig and Sam Mendes have said Inless their Idea of classic Bond Is Casino Royale.
