I'd doubt that it would happen. But I hope for EON's sakes, they can consistently get great directors instead of getting meh directors like what they did during Brosnan era besides GoldenEye.

I think CR and especially QoS had an awesome photography. But this now looks like it ups the ante..I'm not a fan of digital photography but in deakins I trust

He already did. Social Network and Tattoo (especially) look incredibly gorgeous. No doubt Skyfall will look as good.

Fincher has proven that one very specific aesthetic can look very good. Don't forget about Zodiac on that.

What needs to be worked on is bringing the full versatility of film to digital.

That has yet to be worked out in both technology or technique.

Let's see what Deakins can bring to the table.
