EXCLUSIVE: Jamie Foxx on Electro's Origins
I removed the blah blah part, cause how many times Sony mislead us into something, and we see something different on screen?

Ignore everything anyone might say about story details, all there is to know about is Jamie Foxx plays a movie villain, and it won't shock me if he was someone else, like Slyde

one thing that i noticed about Jamie Foxx is that he sucks at keeping secrets. Like, for Django Unchained, on Jimmykimmel, he revealed the whole story, beginning middle and end..........

I'm not even going to read this article about Elecktro's origins

Unchained, Jamie is UNCHAINED :p

I suppose I'll do what you will do and not read what he says

Max Becomes obssesed with Spiderman, then the series of Events happen, he tries to be the hero like Spiderman but he kills someone accidentally and is called a monster by everyone and then he becomes the villain and will try to strike down those who make him feel rejected and those who stole his ideas(Chronicle much?)

i think the birthday is the detonant for his origin ,
is like someone saying "A boy rejected by everyone tries to find more about his father but then a crazy series of events make him turn to spiderman"

sounds like they're really going to play up the inferiority complex with electro, I just hope they don't make him TOO pathetic to the point where he ceases to be intimidating like hector hammond in green lantern. over all I like what I hear, sounds like it'll make for an interesting character.

yeah, i saw that , was Bane a member of the league of shadows in the comics?
no...(im not sure, actually) but i never saw him in the league of shadows and still he was awesome!

I'm pretty sure he wasn't. And his whole origin turned out to be Talia's origin in the movie. The Nolan trilogy takes so many liberties from the comic books.

The thing is, I don't care about "change" that much. In fact, I welcome it when I watch comic book movies, as long as it is done well, and certain things are kept the same (such as Green Goblin being the one responsible for Gwen's death, not Electro).

Also, didn't Iron Man 2 combine two characters for their version of "Whiplash?"

He was actually. It was just reversed for TDKR. In the comics he trains under Ras some years after he broke Batman's back.

Agh. I see. But either way, so much about him was different, from his background story, to his design. Though he had his fair amount of complaints in the beginning, and look at how popular he became.

but i mean in THE origin, it still counts but is not the main origin

Its all about balance, there have been many movies were obsessive fans have been presented as menacing. Electro can start out pathetic and then become deranged by the end of the film.

He will probably flip out like DeHaan in Chronicle and start destroying everything, who knows?

That would be amazing... Imagine that: Electro going absolutely berserk, Chronicle style, in the center of Times Square with Spider-Man trying to take him down. That could be a spectacular fight.

Man, I should calm down. All this drool is going to destroy my keybofhdbfbdfvhdfbvd

i wonder if Crane-dad will appear ever again...

That would be amazing. We have to get a fight in Times Square! It's like a feast for Electro, with all those lights and giant television screens! So much electricity to absorb.

I really can't wait for this movie to come out already. So excited! :D

A little upset we won't see the traditional green and yellow costume or something similar. Here's hoping whatever they do sparks my interest.

Yeah, this is like the first villain Spidey has to face where his brute force and webs may not do ****, and he'll have to put on his metaphorical lab coat to figure out how to beat him. Insulated based webbing, utilizing water in order to stun him, etc.

Did you say... Sparks? ;)

Although it is argued that he will just be another sympathetic villain, there is still so much about him that is so different from the rest. Can't wait to hear more news.

May as well post this here. It just occurred to me, what if Uncle Ben's killer turns out to be Max Dillion aka Electro?

I never wanted the original mask, fearing it would look like this:

Yeah that would've looked horendous. I wouldn't mind if they showed the mask somewhere in the movie to give the classic suit a little nod.
