Agree. If Lizard was remotely interesting the first time then I would have definitely wanted to see the villain again.

I kinda agree, but I still think that he was decent

I'm currently writing my own version of what I think TASM should've been. There when Connors has transformed to the Lizard he has a hard time accepting himself as he is a monster now and he is hiding in the sewers. Soon after there is a scene where Connors kidnaps his wife and son into the sewers and this happens:

Connors now has convinced himself that he is a superior being in this new form, and he is trying to convince Martha & Billy to "join him". Martha refuses to change and tries to talk sense in to Connors and to try to find a cure, but that only makes Connors mad and his beast side is starting to come out. He grabs Martha, Billy pulls on Connors' arm and begs him to stop, then Connors smacks Billy on the ground and just when he's about to slash the crap out of Billy Spidey does a surprise attack and the 2 fight

The Lizard flees. Now with grudge he thinks to himself "if they wont change, I will change everyone". Soon the grudge will turn to pure madness and Connors truly becomes a monster

In currently doing something similar, except that he becomes more feral and beast-like after each transformation

Anno, sometimes when I read your posts I get the idea that you're actively trying to write nonsense.

:funny:

How was what I said nonsense?

My parents HATE football but yet what did I get this morning? A call from my mom talking about the commercials yesterday and specifically, Go Daddy's commercial which is where my brother works, lol.

Even if some don't watch football, I still wonder why some choose to not watch it when a lot watch the SB for more than the football anyways.

Your response to Picard after answered he your question (which you seemingly jokingly asked) just seemed a bit odd. He answered your question with an explanation why and you set off going "but I never said anything about liking it". It just seems like an odd thing to kick up a fuss about since he did answer your question.

I think that they really missed the mark with the Lizard in TASM. It's a shame when about 60% of fan interpretations are better than the real thing. Lets all hope they won't do the same to Electro.

Well, they've already created a brand new back story/character motivation for him, so he won't really bear a resemblance to his comics counterpart. Kinda "missing the mark"

not that it's a bad thing 'cause Electro's pretty one-dimensional anyway- which begs the question of why he was chosen as the front runner villain in the first place...

And you're welcomed to feel that way if you wanna.

There are people that don't like football but still watch the SB though. My question had nothing to do with liking football as there is quite a percentage that watches it just for the spectacle and commercials.

Okay, well I am not a fan of the sport, and never had an interest in watching it. I have nothing against the Super Bowl, but I just don't have a desire to tune in. Not even "for the spectacle and commercials." Sometimes my campus has a big event where people get together and watch, and maybe I'll stop by for a bit. That's really it.

Well, CBM-wise, you didn't miss much since the Iron Man 3 spot sucked, lol.

^ Agree. Can't remember any spots, but the trailers were sure memorable.

And it was the opposite for TASM,I loved all the trailers and Spots but the movie wasnt all that good

Well... the movie wasn't as good as the trailers made it seem, but I thought it was very good. ;)

no, the problem is that the trailers showed to much and didn´t clarify that this was the Begining of "The Untold Story", Sony , please get another marketing team

still liked the movie, don´t know why people hated it so much, and other liked/loved it a lot, this movie is the "Mixed reaction Spiderman"

This was a mistake made by the marketing department. Terrible.

I think its more along the lines of "mostly positive" Spider-Man.

Spider-Man 3 was mixed reviews.

I thought the "Iron Man 3" spot, least for me, was tied with the "Fast & the Furious 6" spot in terms "Holy ****! I want to see that... NOW!"

"Star Trek into Darkness" I think everyone is excited about because of Benedict Cumberbatch (who can play any part and do no wrong) and just because it's darker and J.J. Abrams rocked that reboot, but it still to me, hasn't really deliver enough in terms of an excitement factor.

"Oz: The Great & Powerful" has this lopsided, unbalanced approach of "Could be bad" or "Could be really good." I hope the latter, but I think Raimi is slowly becoming a Burton. I wish he'd make more "Drag Me to Hell" movies even if there were some cheesily bad parts in that movie.

Iron Man 3 didn't do much for me.

I couldn't care less about Cumberbatch... its Star Trek! I think what has me going crazy are all of the mysteries, and how it ties into Wrath of Khan, Robert April, etc.

Agree. I'd like to see him do what he does best... HORROR. Cheesy, fun horror movies. One day... ONE DAY... Evil Dead 4.

For the most part, I can agree about the trailers being good and the movie wasn't. It was a Spider-Man 3 kind of thing.

Really? I don't think I've ever seen Electro referred to as 'one-dimensional' before. Are you talking about this newer version of him or one from the comics?

IMO a one-dimensional villain from Spidey's gallery would be Venom.

I meant that it's tough to make a character like Electro the lead villain of a film without changing a LOT about the character to give him some depth and pathos.

His character in the comics is about as deep as a puddle. Electric line worker who's struck by lightning and becomes a crook. Later, his backstory is revised to tell us that he's been a loser all his life and wants to prove something. It's been done so many times (notably in Chronicle) that it's such a worn out/weak character arc.

I like the character from the comics just fine, but wouldn't have chosen him as the lead villain of the film.

As I see it now, he won't be the lead villain per se, it will be Norman. I think Electro will be very much like in the comics, just that from the second arc and forward he will be the main threat to the city.

Why do you think it would be Norman as the main villain?

Why do you think it would be Norman as the main villain?

With the synopsis out and the castings, I get the feeling that Spidey will fight several villains in this. That makes me think it will basically be about Norman creating them to go after Spidey much like in TSSM.
