The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Jamie Foxx IS Electro - Part 3

That's immediately what it reminded me of. So cheesy and cartoonish. I don't see it being any different in the movie...I'd prefer he stay in his corporeal form.

Could he? Since when? Is this a development within the past couple years? Because From the 60's comics up until I can remember, he could never do that.

Also. This happened in the comics:
th

Perhaps these should be in the movie as well. After all they were in the comics. And that's all that matters, right?

Oy!! The Amazing Bag Man needs to make a cameo in a Spider-man movie

Except Electro traveling through electric sockets and such is actually pretty cool, if done right.

Obviously, but as we've been led to believe, Rhino in TASM2 isn't exactly going to be "extremely detailed".

I still think he'd make a good addition to the S6. Goblin, Electro, Rhino, Scorpion, Mysterio, and Shocker.

Why wouldn't Rhino be a good addition to the Sinister Six? It worked in SSM.

If you recall, Doc Ock reached out to Spider-man's other foes, including Green Goblin. The only one who didn't want Spider-man dead was Lizard. The thing is, deadly qualities can still apply to his other villains. They're still deadly and dangerous. Webb said Rhino wouldn't be in the movie much and that he's stupid, but he also hinted that he could come back. With a team, Rhino's strengths could be put to better use than he could be on his own. After all, Flint Marko and Max Dillon aren't the most competent villains on their own. And the Lizard could join if given proper incentive. It's up to the film makers to create something that allows a different roster to work, and if done effectively it certainly isn't watered down.

I would also assume they're drawing from multiple sources, as any good adaptation of a comic book does. With that in mind, the Ultimate Six's lineup, the Spectacular Spider-man show lineup, 616, and any number of things might be fit together to help craft a new one for the purposes of this take on the story of Spider-man. It can work. It's all in the execution. If deviating from canon in certain ways didn't work, I'd be plenty ******** about every superhero movie to date.

Oh, believe me, I've got no problem with changes to the source material when it's necessary for the adaptation/translation to the screen or if it makes sense to the story.

I suppose we've all got our own version of what we'd like to see brought to life on the silver screen and it's sometimes disappointing when they get some things so right and others so unbelievably wrong.

My ultimate concern as far as the Sinister Six go, is the rationale for 6 villains "teaming up" to kill Spider-Man.

It makes sense when the Avengers come together to unite against a foe that none of them can handle alone...

Also, I can't possibly see the endeavor as fulfilling. Spidey dropping each of them in the span of one movie, when he has trouble handling them alone in their own movie (Lizard, Electro). Kinda cheapens the characters.

It would take a LOT of finesse and creativity to pull it off...

Well that's an easy fix. Either he uses the symbiote to defeat the Sinister Six, or he teams up with someone.

If Felicity Jones is playing Felicia, then there is your team up right there. Spiderman and Black Cat versus the S6.

it'd be cool if tasm2 makes it explicit that peter is getting stronger etc as he grows into a full adult. could make the idea of him taking on the sinister 6 more viable.

I may catch heat for this, but I always thought Rain Wilson would be a perfect Doc Ock...

Also I love that they included the electric eels in this, has that origin version been used anywhere else besides SSM??

That makes total sense, I hope they go that route too. The car scene at the end of the trailer was awesome, I'm all for seeing more of Spidey's super strength.

I still like that idea, of Spidey getting stronger and stronger. Him thinking he may go the way of Connors, where the creature takes over the man.

"that's uh.. not exactly what i meant"

None of the villains have been able to take down Spider-Man individually. They sort aside their differences for the ultimate goal which is to destroy Spider-Man.

It's the exact same concept, only with not being able to handle a hero alone instead of a villain.

Except that Lizard was a powerful, overwhelming foe with an entire film devoted to him, that Spider-Man couldn't defeat alone in any of the three battles they had.

Electro is an overwhelmingly, powerful, god-like foe with an entire movie devoted to him wherein Spidey will have extreme difficulty defeating him.

Taking these powerful, increasingly menacing foes and having Spidey (the underdong, to be sure) take down 6 of them in one film will require making the villains seem less powerful/threatening, etc... Have you ever read a sinister six story before? That's how it always turns out. The characters have to be watered down a bit for the concept to work. That's why I said it's take a lot of finesse and creativity.

I think the idea is just that they all want revenge. They're quite confident that they don't need help defeating Spider-man on their own. In fact, they sometimes have petty squabbles amongst themselves. It's just that they think they can all get their revenge and crush Spider-man easily with help from others with the same goal.

I don't think you can do The Sinister Six properly without Doc Ock.
