The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Jamie Foxx IS Electro - Part 4

I think Electro is going to be the most interessting Villain in TASM 2.
I still hope that He is the Main Villain in this Movie.

I'm pretty sure he will be. He has more fights with Spidey so far.

So far we know that Rhino has one fight, and same goes for GG as of now. Electro has at least two battles, and Marc Webb has stated multiple times that Electro is the main villain.

Chris Nolan also said Bane won't break Batman's back and that "Marion Cottilard isn't Talia Al Ghul" :cwink:

I wonder that too, the trailer seems to imply that there's an element of tragedy that gives rise to Electro. Which makes me wonder how he went from a Spider-Man fan to a villain who wants him gone (maybe Spider-Man's responsible for Electro's birth, unless comic-con said otherwise)?
Combination of his Mom forgetting his birthday & Spidey shunning him on his birthday, send him over the edge.

That's not exactly the same thing. Nolan didn't want to give away spoilers and ruin the twist ending.

When Marc Webb says that Electro is the main villain, he is saying that he is the focus of the film, which is most likely true. It could turn out that Harry or Norman is the real villain behind everything controlling Electro, but Marc is just trying to calm everyone who thinks the movie has "too many villains."

I'm pretty sure its a little bit more than his birthday being forgotten. It seems like a series of bad things happen to him, and the birthday incident is the cherry on top that adds to everything else wrong with his life.

All I'm saying is, I'm going by Webb's words.

"If you think you know what's going to happen, you don't know what's going to happen."

I don't know what's going to happen, but I have a semi-good idea, and I feel Electro is gonna be miniscule in the grand scheme of things.

Well of course we have some idea. But I do think that Electro is going to be a very powerful foe that is ultimately small fry potatoes in comparison to the "bigger forces at work." He is up front right now, but there are bigger, scarier things going on in the background that we don't know about.

Nope...that's exactly what it is....dude is basically telling Gwen in his own way, he want attention, and to be recognized.....that's why he got a hard on when he thought Spidey, of all people, knew his name. To get shunned by Spidey, on the very day his own mother forgets......:jedi

Oh I didn't realize you saw the movie already? I think Spider-Man does shun him, but I wonder how? What does he do to make Spider-Man "betray" him?

I also imagine falling into a tank full of eels and becoming a fully unstable human electric generator would screw up your mind as well, which probably makes him a little crazy, too.

Dude...his personality didn't change cause he fell in a tank of eels, you're sugarcoating it. Dude got shunned, and that simple act, sent him over the edge....added with the fact his mommy forgot to bake him a cake.

I am not sugarcoating it. Getting electrocuted by machinery and eels is a life changing experience that is probably traumatizing. That would easily affect his personality. Not to mention that his brain most likely is suffering physical as well. Y'know, being fried and all (literally).

And unless you've seen a rough cut of the film, don't talk about the movie as if you've seen it.

After watching the trailer many times over, I am really impressed with how good Electro is visually. He looks so menacing. Now I just need to see Jamie play him as this very evil character and knock this outta the park. Oh and the sound effects for his electric bolts are so cool.

I think Jamie Foxx will do great performance wise (both as a nerd and villain). Its just up to the writing at this point.

LOL... and what are you doing, but acting as if it defining he has some kind of mental trauma. Have you seen the film...obviously not...not so sure you seen the trailers and read the descriptions & interviews. The character is not displaying any traumatic change in personality...we see that in the trailers. He still has the same mindset of wanting to be recognized/attention.

His goal of being recognized is still the same, yes, but that doesn't mean the experience wasn't traumatic for him. I'm sure he would never think of killing people before turning into Electro.

I think what his character is showing us is someone who has been given great power, but has not learned the meaning of responsibility, which is a great contrast to Spider-Man.

Who said he was killing people....I think someone must have seen the movie...

Dude, Foxx have said, I don't know in how many interviews & talk shows, that his mom forgot his Bday, Spidey shun him, and his character want attention.

LMAO....Come On Man!

Are you serious? I guess with all that destruction in Times Square, nobody is getting killed.

Gee, IDK… maybe he doesn't want to give away anything else?

Nobody has to see the movie to figure out that a lot of people get killed by Electro, at least in Times Square.

And let's say by some small chance that everyone survives and is able to escape, he is still attacking people.
