Jared Leto IS The Joker - Part 1

This was a manip(or a sketch?) of Chris Eccelston as The Joker, when he was rumored for the role for TDK. Ever since I saw this back in 05-06, I've always thought this would be ideal for live action.

Well remembered, Trav. There were two awesome Eccleston manips all those years ago, both made by a fellow who posted here, whose name escapes me. Good times.

I agree, it would be wonderful to get the classical, sunken-cheeked, beak-nosed Joker for the first time.

Red up the panda eyes, green the eye color, lengthen the chin, pull back the smile...and give him Jared's hairstyle

Leto is interesting. He looks both beautiful and terrifying at the same time. And he never ages...

In conclusion, he's pretty creepy.

You sound like somebody who's spot on... nothing against Jared's ability to pull off the role mind you, only that 'Jared in greasepaint' leaves something to be desired. But that's the manip paradox isn't it, and don't get me wrong, I likes me a good manip, but it's one out of a hundred that gets some aspect right and rarer still the one that gets near the whole look. It was the same with Ledger, and I was fine with that casting from the day of announcement, but only a few of those early manips even came close to a mock up that seemed like it might actually work.

The slicked back hair is fine but it probably leaves more for makeup to do, as it leaves the face comparatively broad, taking the overall appearance of the head away from the narrow, tapering structure that he has classically.
