I know plenty about acting, that's how I know a lazy performance when I see one. Jack's was lazy. A phoned in rehash of previous crazy character styles he'd done. It's only one part of his Joker that I totally dislike. So don't tell me I know nothing about acting. Be like me telling you that you have no clue who the Joker is if you like Jack's Joker.

That's such a vague generic description for so many types of "crazy" characters who can be calm one moment then laughing like lunatics the next. Jack played his standard crazy man role, only it was missing the class of his really good crazy Jack roles. It was phoned in. The most bland Joker ever. The only one worse than him is that straight jacketed Joker that looks like an ape in The Batman cartoon.

I also hated how he was always covering up his Joker face with flesh make up. He did it at the gang boss meeting, when he met Vicki in the museum, when he was on TV...just added to his blandness.

Anybody who believes Jack's Joker was a poor performance knows nothing about acting. Just because you don't like his interpretation doesn't mean he was lazy.

And your qualifications for judging an actor's performance - good or bad - are what exactly?

It is. There was original one, but it made him look like Blackheart from the Ghost Rider movie. So I Jokerized it

I enjoy Jack's Joker but it's just an exaggerated version of his persona. My preference is a chameleon type actor for Joker.

And here I am, who has loved ALL the live-action Joker's.

Romero is a real gem. I love how he's all about the joke, with such enthusiasm and joy in his schemes. Nicholson's Joker is good. The gangster origin they added in would be his legacy, I think, with it merging into the BTAS series as well. Ledger was Ledger, which is to say fantastic. Grungy, with a twisted mind and the humour still present. I love how his theme is a darker version of Romero's too.
