Jared Leto IS The Joker - - - Part 12

I always envisioned film Joker having multiple looks for a film. Facial-wise.
To go from looking like Heath, to looking like Morrison's Joker in AA, with the red paint around the eyes. Different makeup sessions to create the mood he was in for each day or week and establish Morrison's theory.
Paints the eyebrows on, too :p

His smile is normal, just has some black lines around it. Also he's got something on his neck plus that shot is just not close enough to be sure that he doesn't have those face tattoos. On the other hand his clothes looks quite retro.

Hmm. If Batman's battled the Joker for almost 20 years does this fit a late 90s Joker outfit :hehe:

I'm aware of it, and I think most fans would note it was never a canonical Joker, nor was he a consistent presence anywhere besides Bermejo's work. Dave McKean's Joker is completely unique and is featured in one of the most revered Batman stories of all time, but I'd be hard-pressed to say I could vouch for a live-action interpretation of it just because it appeared once.

He shouldn't be, it was a great graphic novel.

Yes it is. One of the darkest Joker stories. My only gripe is how Penguin was portrayed.
Hmm. After watching this vid I think Leto's Joker will be more like this Joker. Even though Ledger's Joker looked like this version, he still was a true to his material. This breakdown opened my eyes up about the novel and maybe the direction they are going in the film. Having Jonny Frost in this movie has to be more than just a nod?

eh. despite contradicting opinions from others , i thought it was pretty true to the joker we know ; a chalk-white skinned , green haired, red smile wearing psychopath with a twisted sense of humour who finds delight in tragedy.

Regarding the Robin shot...

In a little under two months we could be getting our first story details about this Joker. Jason... you are not safe.

wait....im probably totally off here, and im kinda assuming that the guy hes slapping the face and telling about his toys is a robin, but.

am i far off to think that the profile of that person kinda actually looks somwhat like ben affleck which would indicate he's got batman like that? which i can't imagine, honestly.

i was trying to figure out that edge on the left yes, that could be a very plausible explanation! interesting

That would be great if he was - the true showman, in his element, on the stage! Ayer really does possess a good understanding of the character.

I think it's Ike Barinholtz's character and he's playing Belle Reve's head of security.

well if i recall correctly wasn't the joker a failed comedian? wonder what take this will have in the movie. i feel like this movie is going to deliver a real lot of awesomeness.

The failed comedian angle could play a role in his characterisation. That stage is set up like his everything that matters to him in his warped mind and world, and it's all injecting him with feelings of bliss, as his laughter suggests. From knives to guns, roses to champagne... That's more creepy than I first thought :wow:

looks like a really old style stage, too and the fashion too. definately not 90's style [referring to 20 years in gotham]. he's probably lost his mind at that location or setting for some reason. its an intreguing shot, does anybody know from what comic this might be taken or could it be entirely new?

Perhaps he's putting on a deathly performance for an unwilling audience, or an audience inside his own head...

And I' haven't seen anything comic-related that would've inspired such a scene to take place :hmm

I got a bad feeling there's only one Robin in this universe. So it might be Grayson that's dead. I hope I'm wrong.
