What gets me is that people are so focused on the tattoos and teeth and not how PERFECT Leto looks as the character. The eyes, the facial structure, especially the jaw, and the wildness.

That's one of the biggest reasons why I hate this look. They easily could have come up with something everyone LOVED, but instead we got this, which most people hate or are making fun of.

This manip shows that they could have knocked it out of the park and came up with something that would be almost universally loved like the new batsuit. If this was what they dropped last night no one would be complaining or making fun of it...

To me the caps are the result of Batman breaking his teeth numerous times.

And thinking like that, I am totally fine with the teeth. But I hope that all the tattoos were really just added for the photoshoot.

I suppose the forehead tattoo doesn't bother me as much as it does other people, because the first things I'm drawn to when I look at this picture are his eyes and mouth.

If that ends up being the case with actual performance itself, then I doubt I'll notice the tattoo all that much.

And, in fairness, he's not going to have his mouth wide open like that for the entire movie, or even much of it it at all. I imagine we'll see flashes of his teeth but not the point where it will be distracting.

The forehead tattoo is the thing I hate the most. I love the complexion, makeup, expression, body tatts, and even the hair. That "Damaged" thing is just so dumb and pointless. I really hope it won't be present in the movie itself and was tacked on for that promo image.

I am glad that someone remembered the Joker from Batman: RIP. Can this be the end of discussion about this new look? I for one am excited to see where they take the character. Also, this gives me an overall sense of where they are taking The Suicide Squad, and I approve (so far).

I am glad that someone remembered the Joker from Batman: RIP. Can this be the end of discussion about this new look? I for one am excited to see where they take the character. Also, this gives me an overall sense of where they are taking The Suicide Squad, and I approve (so far).

A strong case can be made for the fact that the Joker has been given a multitude of appearances throughout the years, but that doesn't mean his true characterization can't still be intact or that the essence of the character won't remain.

Having your mouth open that wide while retaining a cheeky grin is a physical impossibility.

Yup. The base they started with is great. It's all the unnecessary and terrible additions that ruin it. As for the body art, adding tattoo's is fine, I just wish they were more creative. Hopefully they dump the forehead tat and the teeth, it's not too late to change it.

Nah, there's no way such a reveal will gather 100% praise.

There will always be a minority who will hate something like those prosthetic teeth.
