Whatever it was, I don't think it's right to write someone off because they got something wrong once. The guy works with what he gets. It's not his fault that the information was faulty/constantly updated. His track record speaks for itself.

So what do we think, is what Ayer tweeted out last night the definitive version, or is he and Leto still messing with looks? If anything, I think last night's image is what he'll look like in prison, but anything is possible once he gets out *which he will*

Getting teeth fixed is possible (I've always assumed Joker's had that done a LOT). But quick and easy tattoo removal isn't possible. So if those face tatts are real, he's always going to have them.

And "damaged" will never not be stupid, even if it's meant to be ironically so.

If the tattoos aren't a part of the actual design, I hope he at least keeps the smile on his forearm. A lot of posters have already pointed the potential disturbing imagery it could have.

I dunno if I can buy any rumour that says this reveal isn't the Joker we will see. I mean I could see that as an April Fools joke, but it's not. It just seems like such a boneheaded move to show something like this and then go "ta-dah, the finished product isn't actually like that". I mean what kind of marketing would that be?

I follow that guy on Twitter and to be fair he's more often wrong than right now. Basically since last fall when he posted some screens from unfinished Terminator and Chappie trailers + Juraasic World trailer description... he was only right about Sony stuff.

This "marketing" that you speak of solely consists of posting a photo to Twitter. If Ayer (or Snyder) decided to share a new photo of his actual look, it would be shared just as much as the last photo.

Plus, when did Ayer say "this is the definitive look of the Joker"? All he said was happy birthday to the character.
