I think that by making the Joker and Harley Juggalos they have managed to relate the characters to reality in a way that it has never been done before, the clown references now relate directly to a counter culture that exists. It’s a bold departure but I think it works.

I'd prefer an R rating, to be honest. I find PG 13 hinders the rawness of it all.

But I realize that PG 13 is better from a business standpoint and that's probably what we're getting.

Agreed. Im fine with PG13, but prefer R rating.

There was an El Mayimbe rumour a while back that stated the hyenas would make an appearance in the film. So....eh, maybe.

This is true. And I didn't even miss it. I think that, strangely, lack of blood made those scenes even more impactful, as we're so used to seeing blood in movies and it would probably just distract from the point.

By the way, following the same train of thought, I must add that I found this part from TDKR to be annoying:
