Weee little nit pick. I wish Joker's lipstick wasn't put on so...thick? I don't really know how to explain it. I mean, the lipstick looks like it goes past his actual lips.

His lips are actually one of the few things I think they did well lol.

So for the tattoos it's gonna be taking down the performance of Leto?

Absolutely. For many people a bad character design can bring down a performance, just like a great character design doesn't save a bad or weak performance.

^^ Sorry to respectfully disagree, pal... just don't want to get involved into this pointless.. debate? Agree to disagree

Fair enough. Not sure why you raised the point if you didn't want a debate about it though....

Actually I wasn't. It was just my point of view regarding some post above.

To make it simple IMO, those tattos are a little thing (not performance changing if you ask me) specially in the pics I'm seeing.

They are part of the whole look, they are not like some of you are saying that they are 100% distracting, that's matter of opinion, cause I was not distracted by them on all the set pics, the tattoos are the last thing I was seeing on Leto.

They're just a matter of taste... but that doesn't mean they're wrong, right? It depends on how they are executed, at least from me.

And if they have purpose or meaning on the movie, I won't have a problem.

Leto's Joker is going to shake up the funky crib. What are you gangstaz gonna tattoo about it?!

Ok. But since you put a question mark after it that implied you were asking for feedback, even though you were seemingly mocking anyone who felt this way with the laughing and face palming smiles you used.

That's good that you can overlook them so easily, I envy you and anyone who can, but for myself and many others they are not a little thing, and are very hard to ignore. Particularly since at least two are on the character's face, and several have been made visible on the chest with the conscious choice to have his shirt open so audiences can see the tattoos on chest, which means they are clearly meant to be noticeable in the movie, too. Which is not surprising considering what a big part they were of the look in the big reveal pic. I didn't think they would be totally swept away under a suit, though I was hopeful.

Absolutely it's a matter of taste. Nobody is saying you're wrong to like them, more power to you if you do, but this is just a friendly suggestion; it would help if you and some of the others didn't always laugh and deride those of us who do dislike them. You may not mean to but your laughing and face palming smileys imply anyone who thinks these things are being stupid or something.

And if they have purpose or meaning on the movie, I won't have a problem.

I can't speak for the other detractors, but unfortunately that won't help me. Purpose or no purpose, they'll still look as bad as they always have.

I agree that the tattoos, though too on the nose for my taste, can be somewhat overlooked. The teeth will be hard for me to ignore. I'm glad you like it though. Thats why movies are great, we can all have different opinions.

This ghetto fabulous Joker is going to be off the chain yo!

P.S. Well said The Joker!

Was that a feeling or an assumption? :sly:
That's the reason for my reaction ;)

That's the thing. It's just opinions. Just like I don't see them as distracting as you do or taking out the look of Joker's look as you may do. But the context neither you nor I would take it away.

Thanks

I felt it in my bones and stuff.

Well I admit that made me laugh. :funny: Nice job TJ

Just saw all these set pics for the first time. And I will say...

LetoJoker continues to have a very punchable face.

I hope we get to see Batfleck beat the ever-living **** out of this Joker at some point.

I'm betting the grills on his teeth are because Batfleck has beaten the leaving **** out of this Joker many times. It seems they already have a history in this cinematic universe.

I'm actually getting a big Tony Montana vibe from Joker's get-up.

Are we sure SS isn't an 80's period piece?

This will be another Heath situation, where people will stop worrying about the look when they see him acting in context.

These little details build the character, imo. So no little nit pick. :) I'm confused and I'm not sure they know exactly what they are doing with this character (hope I'm wrong :))... This portrayal of the Joker seems to be some narcissistic ego-maniac... kempt hair, expensive outfit and car, this kind of person would have his lipstick applied perfectly.

He is crazy and torn and sociopathic inside his head, he acts like that when he's pushed/in the mood, but on the outside, his appearance, he is slick, just look how he fixed his hair after he slapped Harley. This Joker would have his lipstick applied perfectly. :)

Leto's Joker looks like Jeffrey Dahmer meets a Neo-Nazi skinhead meets the Tsarnaev brothers: completely bat-**** insane and somebody you don't want to mess with. The expression in his eyes really drives that point home.

I swear, this could honestly be the best on screen version of the Joker we have gotten to date and people are gonna sit back and cry about his makeup and let that ruin the film for them....worse than children
