Jared Leto IS The Joker - Part 7

Well he's currently in the wrong country. So if he's just stepping out he's got some miles to make up.

Do someone think that he goes out when not filming because wanting to be alone for establishing his method acting more?

PS. Just a question.

I'm pretty sure he goes out when not filming because he's a person.

I don't think it's in human nature to want to be cooped up anywhere for extended periods.

Hell Heath actually did and we saw how that turned out...

Well, not all the time, he can have his free moments, but when he "practices" for the part and enter to the character's traits to understand it better for his performance. That's not new from Leto being method... past roles, specially DBC proves the point that Leto put a lot of effort into his characters.

I know I'm late with this, but I like Leto's look, no eyebrows, grill, tats, and all. The forehead tattoo may be the worst part but I'll probably forget about it while absorbed in the movie.

Yeah I know Leto is a method actor but in my other point so was Heath, and he apparently went into a really dark and in the end destructive place trying to method act as the Joker. I'm sure Leto is very aware of that.

Based of the shots of Leto on the street he seems pretty care-free and just himself aside from the hair.

I wouldn't be so sure about that.
At least for me in all the set pics I can't see Leto, I see the Joker... mannerisms, way to move and yeah his look (my opinion of course )

I don't recall anyone other than The Guard claiming as a certainty that the tattoos were definitely just a 75th anniversary thing. Some of the rest of us thought it might be possible.

I don't believe I said that.

His smile is fantastic. He looks so good as the character it's not funny.

No, but people don't generally fly between two cities in two different countries to do some shopping

His performance did not contribute to his death if that's what you're alluding to. He died several months after TDK wrapped.

Well around the time he was filming for The Dark Knight is when he started having sleeping problems and is when he started taking pills for it which is what led to his eventual overdose. While not directly connected to his performance in The Dark Knight it isn't a crazy assumption that taking on a role like The Joker could have been a heavy contributing factor to his sleeping issues. He was a method actor and it was more than likely a huge pressure on him psychologically to get it right.

I don't buy that whole "the role drove him crazy" rumor that persists to this day. In all the interviews Heath gave around that time he talks about how he had the time of his life playing the Joker and said that it was "the most fun I've ever had playing a character".

Yeah he had personal problems which led to his death, but I don't think it had anything to do with playing the Joker...a character which he clearly had a lot of fun with.

It's been proven... it was a bad mix of pneumonia medecine (working cold nights in England for Panassus) and sleeping pills (from working in Chicago late at night for TDK). Honestly, I'm not surprised more soccer moms and hard-working individuals don't die from accidental/simple over the counter concoctions more often.

He was 'sober' for over a year or tow because of his daughter... Val Kilmer (who has been sober) told a cool story how that very NYE, before Heath's death... he ran into Heath at a party and they basically hung out and talked about their families because everyone else was super drunk/high because of the holiday.

The insomnia thing was a pre-existing condition that Heath struggled with long before he was cast in The Dark Knight, and although people have tried to draw connections between his process for becoming the Joker and his eventual death, there was never ever any official connection between that role and his death drawn or determined.

I'm sure this film will be decent, but I'm sorry I can't see past the bad choices in jokers design. Forget fanboying and all as an artistic design it's terrible, no subtly, no impact. He comes across as a goth/hipster *****e club boy rather than someone who has a presence, and the majority of the problem is all down to the stupid tats. Lose the forehead and remove the shine and glitter on the jacket and it won't look anywhere near as bad.

I'm sure no I'm convinced Leto will be amazing as long as he doesn't go too cartoony but design wise it's the weakest joker yet and that included the animated bombs as well
