Jared Leto IS The Joker - Part 9

I am warming up to this new Jokers look. The damaged tattoo will never be okay with me, but I have made my peace with that.

And his teeth...I must say I like the idea of his smile being ravaged by years and years of Bat-punches, thus needing to siver caps to fill in the missing pieces. It also gives him a gigantic smile, my favorite live-action Joker smile thus far.

The rest of the tattoos don't bother me, the new outfits and flashy car certainly don't bother me, and we have Harley now too. This is shaping up to be a great interpretation imo, but only two will tell.

Do you think/hope they give an awesome explanation for the forehead tat?

Or is the briefcase in Pulp Fiction where we always theorize what it is/means.

Maybe an old cellmate of The Joker tattooed it onto his head while he was comatose, before The Joker got his revenge by making a hat out of his lungs.

^^^ That sounds much more plausible than the Joker tattooing "damaged" on himself.

I could see Leto doing this. yeesh.

His smile is similar to this.

The killing babies stuff is pretty horrible
People say new 52 Joker is pretty reprehensible but the stuff he did in NO MAN'S LAND was truly disgusting

I doubt they could give an explanation that would satisfy me personally. They should just leave it unexplained imo. To my knowledge, almost no one likes the damaged tattoo, so trying to explain it's presence at this point may seem a bit contrived. It's already there and it's not going anywhere for this movie, so I rather they ignore it so as not to reignite some of the hate that some of us have buried deep inside for this particular tattoo.

Great scans. I wouldn't mind if Letos Joker acted in a similar manner to the way Joker is portrayed in the above scans.

I'm really anxious to see what this Joker will be like. Heaths Joker was very into multiple choice games. Which boat should we blow up? Boat 1, or boat 2? Which person should we blow up, D.A. Harvey Dent, or A.D.A. a Rachel Dawes?

I want to see what kind of "games" this new interpretation likes to play.

If they used another word would it have been alright? Or the Joker having a forehead tat at all just kills it for you.

I do wonder what my thoughts would have been if it were something more creative.

I think people don't like the damanged tatt because its so on the nose and contemporary angst for Joker.
I think its a great way to modernize the Joker in a totally different way than what Nolan did
David Ayer definitely went a little east LA with the Joker's design

Pretty much this

The teeth are fast becoming my favorite part of this design though. His smile is very wide, but more expressive. And I love how theatrical he appears. The last few lines he has in the trailer, it's like he's gesturing towards you with hands.

For me, the forehead tattoo just doesn't work, no matter the word it could have been.

the tatoo on his forehead should have been "love".

He didn't kill any babies.

once Riddler forced Batman to cut a baby's throat, that s*** was pretty dark

Barbatos made him do it. That demon is not one to joke around.

Incidentally, I was toying around with making an Avatar of the doll-throne scene- here it is if anyone wants it.

Heh, that's awesome. It could heal up for the solo movie, too.

Can someone give a general description of how crazy and intelligent Joker is? Maybe a paragraph to explain it. Because it seems a lot of folks don't really get the Joker. He's one of a kind. An American original.

The name of whichever Robin he killed would have been hilarious.

I am unsure why you asked this by way of a response to one of my posts. Is it your inference that I do not "get" The Joker?

Imo there's nothing really hard about getting Joker. On the base level he is always the antithesis to Batman. Chaos to his Order, Insanity to his Sanity, Evil to his Good, etc
People seem to get more confused by what aesthetic this is presented in because the Joker is almost always reinventing himself similar to Batman's many changes in tone.

How smart is the Joker? No clue the comics don't delve into how smart he is but its generally agreed that he is about as smart as Batman but tempered through insanity and other issues.

I think some people could make the argument they are both insane
