Jared Leto IS The Joker - Part 9

Joker could and has done that in the Joker GN
You are talking about a character who literally finds all distasteful things humorous on some level.
Killing Joke he had the henchmen with him to do the distasteful stuff though he just took pictures

That's not the point.

I'm not saying The Joker couldn't, wouldn't, or hasn't raped anyone. I'm saying I don't want to see him raping anyone, nor do I want it to be implied that he has or will.

Whilst I agree, it does seem more likely for Jared's Joker, whom we can presume has a relationship of sexual exploitation with Harley.

I suppose it can fairly be said that Jack's Joker would have raped Vicky Vale, given the opportunity.

The reason why I think Joker has not done such a thing is because i think his corrupted mind does not embrace women in a potentially sexual way.
The only reason i can think of why he is attracted to Harley is because he turned her crazy and she's more or less a fellow mind like him (chaos).
He's actually kissed Harley more than a few times

I mean even if you just assumed he didn't partake sexually because its never shown he has had a few female partners besides Harley Quinn too.

Then you have the moments that hint he might be gay as well
Well, I guess it depends on which version of the Joker is being discussed. In the comics, where he's been a lot rougher than anywhere else, I think he might indeed be asexual. Jack's Joker (being... Well being JACK'S Joker) definitely had a libido. I could go either way with Ledger. I think it's possible he was just being humorous when he was being faux flirty with Racheal. Hamill... Again, even though he seems to be in a romance with Harley there is a sense that it might not be consummated, but that's me. Like Hamill's Joker was stringing Harley along with the promise of something more. Something he could care less about but that she was obsessed with, and he knew that. Today 01:48 AM
Let's just make something clear here...Rape isn't about sexual attraction.

It's about POWER, period.

Remember Ledger's Joker's monologue to the cop in the jail cell, where he talks about why he uses a knife and how it's all about slowly torturing the victim and seeing them suffer...it's a power thing, and rape is no different.

Rapists rape to show that they have total dominance over you, they OWN you, you are their property and they can do anything they'd like to you.

THAT'S what does it for them, not the sex.

So Joker could very well be Asexual (not saying he is) and still rape someone if he feels like it. Because rape really has nothing to do with lust and sexual attraction.

There is a poster over at IMDB who has been clued in on a few things. Decent track record in regards to this movie. He says Leto's Joker is bisexual. I dont know if he meant in a Javier Bardem in Skyfall sense. Or just that he'll be very effeminate and used the wrong term to describe him.

Take it fwiw. He could be wrong on this.

I think it's pretty clear from the set videos that his gestures and mannerisms are flamboyant and a bit effeminate. You don't need to be "in the know" to draw this admittedly weird conclusion.

Joker has always been flamboyant and effeminate though. Agreed you don't have to be "in the know" to come up with that IMDB post. I'm sure they just misused the term bisexual though.

I don't think Joker limits himself to such terms as 'heterosexual' 'homosexual' 'bisexual' etc.

He is whatever he feels like at the moment.

Yeah but in the comics Joker's always had a touch of effeminate to him, I just don't think we've seen it in live action yet.

Both Ledger and Nicholson came over as very masculine, despite their eccentricities. Leto's version however definitely has that effeminate vibe from the comics, so it will be interesting to see how far he takes it...will he go full on with the flirty nicknames for Bats?

I'd LOVE to see the general audiences reaction if Leto's Joker turns to Bats and calls him 'darling'...if only to see people flip out LOL :woot:

You can't watch the museum scene from Batman and tell me Nicholson lacked flamboyance.

Yes Jack was flamboyant and eccentric... but nothing about him felt effeminate.

If anything Jack's Joker felt like the least effeminate Joker to me (can you picture Jack's Joker calling Batman darling I can't)

But then again this is just my opinion

Most definitely.

Nor can I. I could imagine Ledger's Joker saying it because he had a touch of romanticized kind of obsession with Batman; "You complete ME!".

Johnny Frost and Harley Quinn are the closest characters to joker in the movie. I suppose you could hint they are his lovers since Joker very rarely keeps specific allies around him for very long

Yeah, Joker definitely had an "assumed relationship" with Bats in TDK. He was very comic book accurate in that way. His speech at the end gives me chills till this very day... his lines "Oh you! You just couldn't let me go...could you?" and, "I think, you and I are destined to do this...forever..." are especially potent. Gives me Goosbumps, even after the 51st viewing.

By the way, your avy is dope. ****ing alley!

Obviously not as important. But I always get a kick out of Jack Nicholson's "You idiot, you made me! You dropped me into that vat of chemicals. That wasnt easy to get over. But dont think I didnt try"

:lmao:

Yeah, it really nailed the Batman/Joker dynamic. It's one of the many things I love about the Joker. 95% of Batman's villains want to kill him. It's a refreshing and interesting dynamic to have Joker actually prefer having Batman alive because he gets this sick thrill out of challenging him. Like how he doesn't care who Batman is under the mask. It's Batman he cares about, not his secret identity.

By the way, your avy is dope. ****ing alley!

Why thank you :yay:

Joker as Jason Todd who then cuts off his face confirmed.

He has New 52 Joker on his phone? I can see the veins popping on reg's head already lol.

That issue was before it all went bad.

That depends on who you ask.
