I hope the Cranston rumour isnt true, mainly so everything gets back to the website which came up with the bogus story (if false) so these crappy websites stop running made up stories for hits.

I can see it now "Bryan Cranston NOT Lex Luthor after all".

Matt Damon as Lex Luthor. *fans go ape*****

Why are people even entertaining the thought of Damon as Luthor? Because he's bald in Elysium?

Is Gordon even in this film? Maybe nobody from the Batman universe is in it. I mean its set in Metropolis right? Maybe Batman just makes a cameo appearance.

I don't see Gordon in this movie, and I see Cranston being cast.

McConaughay would be awesome, always was a top pick of mine out of the popular film actors. The voice is a different choice though.

Im thinking Gosling could get the role though if he doesn't choose Star Wars (is that still a rumor?).

Man, I can't recall this much MM love since Nolan handpicked him.

It hasnt been said if Gotham will or wont be in it..
If I had to guess, I would say we will see both gotham and metropolis.
I feel we will see Batman on his home turf before he meets Supes.
I think they will want to show how badazz this Batman is before the big meet up with Supes, so he may be shown taking out some bad guys in gotham.
IMO, you cant just have Batman show up in Metropolis to face Supes without letting folks know beforehand that he can handle himself against Supes.

We argue enough about casting actors for characters we KNOW are in the movie, lets save our breathe :)

I guess the problem with Batman and Superman being in the same universe is its impossible to make Batman look badazz. I mean its not like he's going to kill Zod or anything remotely like that. He didn't even have the balls to kill the Joker.

Batman has infinite ways to prove himself Badass without killing .

I no longer think Cranston will be Luthor. Id dig it but since cosmicbook started this ****, it's probably false. Im thinking Lex will be Affleck's age, maybe mid 40s. I don't think it's Mark Strong either.

Ill say Affleck chooses Cranston to be Gordon once the solo movie hits.

Lex Luthor will be anyone from Michael C Hall to Matthew McConaughay to Leo Dicaprio to Brad Pitt to Matt Damon (hehe).

Josh Brolin or even Ryan Gosling may get the spot too, since these things happen sometimes when 2 people WB want for the good guy role don't pan out, then they're cast as the other villain.

Remember what Snyder said about Lex 2 months ago. He'll be casting a big name actor on the level of Russell Crowe/Kevin Costner/Amy Adams and he'll be a multi billionaire version of Brad Pitt. So he'll be a handsome man to the people. Is it actually Brad Pitt? I doubt it. But im thinking Gosling, Dicaprio, Damon, McConaughay are the 4 that have the best chance at this. Leo is taking a break and so is Gosling but Ryan is probably returning to acting before him, so maybe.

I just have a hard time thinking of Lex with an accent. Whether that's McConaughay or Pitt, I just don't hear that voice for Lex.

Now, could that change? Yeah, if WB or Affleck forces Cranston on Lex then Zack's wish of a dream Luthor goes out the window. But ill say Bryan doesn't get cast.

This.

The bold parts totally fit my vision and idea for Lex and I wish Snyder sticks to this. Regarding Brolin and Gosling, didn't they said that they weren't into sequels?

Damon is definitely the worst choice I've heard. He has almost no menace in him. He's a momma's boy style of actor.

What the hell?

Look, I'm not sure that Damon is the best choice for Luthor either (and judging by his recent comments about Ben's casting, it doesn't sound like he'd be interested) but to say that he can't be menacing makes me think you haven't seen much of his work. He can play a badass killing machine (the Bourne films), a mild-mannered psychopath (The Talented Mr. Ripley), an ambitious sociopath (The Departed), and an arrogant rich prick (School Ties).

Damon's a very versatile actor and when people trash him, it makes me think their exposure to him consists of watching the puppet version of him in Team America.

No broader relevance to this, but I can't watch the Bourne films. How do you make all that fighting so boring? Oh, yeah. Mett Demen's face.

When we've still got people mentioning Billy Zane, I think Damon is safe from being the worst choice. Just sayin'.

I can say Billy Bob Thorton should be cast as Lex, doesn't make it right :D

Damon is a really good actor, I don't knock him for that. He just doesn't have a place as Lex IMHO

There should be a no name cast as Lex, kind of like Tom Hiddleston as Loki in my opinion. That was casting gold.

See, I feel that this movie is going to focus more on the Bruce Wayne side than it will the Batman side, atleast at first. The movie is going to have to build towards something, and I think the build will be Luthor and Bruce while Supes juggles his life as Superman and Clark Kent at the Daily Planet until stuff hits the fan that will see Bruce finally in his suite in act 3, or the confrontation between Supes and Bats, which should come later and not sooner until ending via teammup.

So, if you had to ask me, it will be Bruce Wayne for the most part with the Batman reveal coming later so that it will be impactful as Superman continues to be Superman throughout.

I could see 85% of the movie Bruce is acting more as a behind the scenes detective helping Superman, then at the end he suits up to help Superman with some big conflict.

Bingo.

You're forgetting the big fight these two will have. It's a guarantee.

Thank you. I'd rather take my chances on the Academy Award nominated megastar than the guy who played the king in Journey to Promethea.
