I'm just gonna hope that was for me :o

Ledger did have the advantage of being able to disappear behind makeup, though. It was a phenomenal performance, but that was a significant factor in seeing the character instead of the actor.

Indeed. That was largely due to their makeup choices though. I don't think Nicholson visually disappeared at all in Batman 89. Who knows if Ledger would have been as successful if his Joker makeup was more conventional.

They made Ledger up with like a drunk hobo vibe, so he was definitely going to vanish into it. If I had seen him do the voice in his regular face, I'd be impressed but I'd know it was him.

Craig could fit the role...

For me.... Christopher Meloni could have been a great lex luthor...

"I don't care what you tell him".

Yea I was rooting for him in the beginning but it quickly got shot down once the movie plots started to roll in.....after watching him in MOS though, he seemed to homely to be lex.....he killed that Col role....:)

He could have done the role without make up and it would have been something gnarly. The characterization was pretty gripping and unpredictable. Concept of a scar for a smile...

The characterization was amazing, but the messy hair and makeup style they went with really made Ledger's face disappear. The sloppiness of it distorted Ledger's face and features in a way that I doubt more traditional Joker makeup like Nicholson's could. Ledger's features were unrecognizable, which is a great advantage for any actor trying to create a character and not have people see the actor. That is all I meant.

Was there ever any footage of him outside the makeup just doing the voice?

He was one of my favorite characters in the movie :word:

If he did go to the phantom zone, he'd have to run to avoid all those who want him dead.

But he probably went boom :csad:

I know :(.....I'm pretty sure he did, considering what he told Faora before tipped the controls

It's possible that Faora quickly recognized that it would get quite lonely in the PZ, and kept him around for certain purposes. Then again, that could be me projecting my own fantasies. :)

Even though Bryan won't be Luthor, I could see Giancarlo Esposito as Lex.

Personally, Lex Luthor needs to be someone with a very friendly persona about him, able to sway the crowd with a few choice words whilst holding that sociopathic streak he has. Bryan as Luthor just looks like a shady businessman who is about to take over yet another building. With Giancarlo, he looks like that warm friendly figure you see on TV and meaning what he says, before going off to kill Superman afterward.

The more I think about it, I think Brad Pitt would be good in the role.

He's an A lister, we see him as the good guy in movies, he's a true humanitarian and philanthropist in real life. He fits what Snyder's looking for.

Too big, too old and doesnt have the look imo. Lex shouldnt look like a retired jeans-model from the 80s. :oldrazz:

Just give Pitt a haircuit. The guy is really good looking with his "Basterds" haircut.

His face is just too soft. Those eyes could never scare me.

Wouldnt scare me either. :oldrazz:

Oh yeah, just very much in contact with myself. :cwink:
