"Look, here it is in simple terms even you can understand. I am Superman's pal, his confidante. Compared to me, you aren't even a blip on the radar they use to find out when someone is downloading an illegal mp3, which coincidentally Superman already knows about. Was that clear enough for you, or do I need to speak slower?" - Jesse Eisenberg as Jimmy Olsen

I'd go with Under the Dome's Colin Ford for Jimmy Olsen assuming thier still going the traditional route and aren't making him a her. The kid just screams Jimmy Olsen and he's young enough to look up to Cavill and Adams.

He would kill it. Not sure if he's got the right look though.

I don't care about looks. I care about the acting merit one possesses and Phoenix has that IMO. His performance in The Master last year was probably my favorite performance from last year. If any, he reminds of the Lex Luthor from Lex Luthor: Man Of Steel. Come to think of it, whoever they do cast I want them to use that story as inspiration. :yay:

Watch somebody like Stanley Tucci get it.

One of the reasons, actually. I wouldn't want to see him bald.

Plus some dudes can look smarter with hair, and they're usually more handsome.

So you want to see Lex played, first and foremost, by someone handsome, and you don't mind if they look nothing like Lex if that helps them to look handsome.

I think you might have confused your priorities.

are people still suggesting bald actors for lex because they don't think any good actor with hair can shave their head and be a good lex?

Does Luthor HAVE to be bald, I don't think so. If they get someone who nails the other facets of Lex's character, then I don't care if he happens to have hair.

Just have him become bald at the end of the movie in some accident, like Professor X in First Class.

After this most recent episode, I may be back on board with Cranston if he wants the role.

There is definitely a fixation going on with bald actors. I mean there is no way Bruce Willis could ever deliver the menace to be Lex, nor the impression of genius. I have never EVER seen Bruce Willis do anything intimidating. Same goes for Stanley Tucci. Tucci is only scary in the way those fashion designers are scary. But Bryan Cranston showed that he can deliver convincing menace, in Breaking Bad. It wasn't sustained menace, but it was there. If he can bottle the few intimidating scenes in Breaking Bad and sustain it for a couple of hours, he'll be he perfect Lex. And he definitely makes you believe he's a genius.

so i finally watch star trek into darkness and i gotta say i think chris pine could be an interesting choice. quinto as braniac would be awesome but that may be a little like type casting. and cumby, man, i think he would have been an incredible batman.
