BvS Lex Luthor Casting Thread - Part 2

Who thinks it would be wise of Lex to find methods to destroy or disable Superman, not out of hatred, at least not at first, but in order to ensure that he doesn't end up destroying Metropolis again?

And convinces Bruce and the other rich folk rebuilding the city to be on his side?

Probably even the Government. Stanwick might or might not be convinced by Lex.

Though I'm not sure I want Bruce to be on Lex's side....pretending to be more like. Or just unsure of who to trust, him or Superman.

I'm not down with the Lex /Bruce alliance theory.

Personally, I'd prefer Batman to be investigating Luthor/Lexcorp, even if
publicly Lex and Bruce have some business arrangments and appear as friends.

Could be a good way for Bats and Supes to meet. Maybe they end up checking out
Lex corp at the same time (maybe for slightly different reasons).
Maybe Supes shows up becuz he knows Lex has got his hands on some Krypton tech
salvaged from the scoutship, and Bats is investigating becuz some of that tech has
shown up on the streets of Gotham.....

Kelsey Grammer as Lex Luthor.......just kidding !

And having a non-bald Lex works to the benefit of people who like Chris Pine for the role, as he has a paranoid fear that he's losing his hair and is determined to not let that happen.

Chris Pine would be cool, but he'd make a great Harvey Dent IMO.

I always thought Gabriel Macht would make a good harvey dent

I can't. My favourite choice is still DiCaprio but I'd be more than happy with an out-of-the-box choice like Gyleenhall.

I'd honestly like to see Gyllenhall as Parasite if they don't use him as a hero.

I'm just pleased that the Cranston rumours are now being shot down. He was never right.

****ing CBN!

And I could get on board with Lewis

Cranston is Gordon, he's just gotta be. Lewis would be great as Lex, shaved or not, someone who looks like he could be a peer of Bruce Wayne, rather than senior to him.

I think Matthew McConaughey would surprise the nay sayers. If anyone still isn't a fan of him, they haven't watched any of his movies from the last few years, he's really turned from being an unlikeable generic movie star to a respectable actor

McConnaughey's accent isn't nearly as southern in real life actually.

I think he'd be near-perfect (though I doubt they could even get him for multiple films...)

I've always liked him as an actor. He's never been awful or anything. Just never given good stuff. Like Affleck, you know? Better actors with the right material.

Daft as the film was, I loved Matt's crazy ass performance in the Texas Chainsaw movie :hehe:

People probably don't want to see a crazy Lex again....Well neither do I, sort of.
To me, Lex should have 3 personalities, just like Clark and Bruce.

You have the public Lex. All smiles and fakery.
Then behind closed doors Lex. Ruthless, calm and powerful.
Then another one. A side of Lex that is rarely seen by many. Angry and truly insane. Corrupted by his money, power and genius over the years.

Matt would be great at handling that.

him keeping his accent doesn't bother me a bit if Patrick Stewart as Xavier has a British accent when xavier he was born in new york then who cares

not like metropolis isn't in kansas
