At this point , I'm beginning to think Lex may not be in it and this may indeed be a pure vs film. I hope he is in it because i'd be a dumb move to keep him out imo.

It's not going to be a pure VS film. There's going to be heavy depth and element added to this, not to mention a turnaround and things being continued from Man of Steel. A pure VS movie would be to scrap everything and have Supes/Bats have at it for no apparent reason. It's going to be much, much more than a versus.
It's so lazy.
Good, he's too old and not really right for the part because of it. He'd probably have been a great Luthor if he was nearly 20 years younger though. Quick, let's time travel to the mid-nineties when he was doing voice work for Power Rangers and let's make him Luthor in Burton's Superman Lives! Wait...You guys can rule out Cranston: http://variety.com/2013/legit/news/...r-his-broadway-bow-in-all-the-way-1200888097/

I sort of fear if Lex is cast he's going to be an actor nobody will be too excited about. Sort of like how Moriarty in the sherlock films was teased to have all sorts of high profile actors attached like brad pitt at some point but they ended up going with Jarred Harris in the end and nobody cared.
This is what I like to believe...when I'm feeling optimistic.

I actually would like that, only because of his Man of Steel review.James Franco!![]()
Very good point. In every interview, pod-cast or fan-event that I see, read or hear, Snyder comes off and describes many points to what direction this movie is heading in and never, not once...other than on these boards.... that I get the impression of a pure VS movie. In fact, it's the complete opposite when I hear Snyder speak or anybody else, like Goyer, for that matter, but that's just me. Will there be a confrontation, aw hell YEAH but that doesn't make it a pure VS movie. To my understanding, Snyder has said many of times, even repeating himself, that Batman is in this MoS-verse and Supes will battle the aftermath of that little movie called MoS.
On my surface and my opinions, I just don't see a versus movie. A confrontational movie, perhaps. But not a versus. It just doesn't make sense. Things were stamped and approved in MoS for a reason. Throwing all of that out to fight Batman Mortal Combat-style in the sequel just isn't the way to go for the bigger picture. That approach won't get anything accomplished.
I don't like either, but Pitt less of the two.
