This is a great thread

in regards any other new batman projects in the future,

it would be great to have a year one batman tv pilot / show / series focussing on a younger bruce wayne ...

I dont think bruce should be a effeminate looking model, at the same time I think he should be good looking enough or striking. :yay:

I would like to throw a hat in the circus ... up and coming british/UK TV actor Sikander (Alexander) Malik - 25, 6 ft shown here attending the premier for the Batman Live Premier in the UK ... apparently he's a huge batman fan :yay: watch out for this guy ;)

I think he's got a good look striking about him, with the bat brows! haha and a nice colour exotic/Mediterranean look in his cheeks, anyway here ya go ... great thread guys and very good suggestions

He looks like a buff Prince. That said, could make a cool Bruce Wayne, especially for a tv show.

I wouldn't mind Armie Hammer in the role. His build and especially his voice is fantastic for Batman, and he'll only be better when he's a bit older.

I remember when Armie was going to play Batman on Justice League. Those were the days...

:up::up::up:

Talking about a TV show, wasn't there supposed to be a Bruce Wayne TV show before Smallville arrived?

I could see it happening :yay:

I love Armie Hammer, I thought he would have been perfect for supes too...he looks a lot like jeff east!

One of the silliest names I've heard in this thread. An no-name 'actor' with a mediocre resume, is far too ethnic for the role. The Dean Cain example is bad. He wasn't received very well as Superman. He's a joke.

Are you sure you're not him? Or his lover?

And there definitely won't be a Batman TV series. You're quite uninformed. The rights for the character in live action are remaining with the Warners Film Division. Robinov made clear they want to continue the Batman films after TDKR, with Nolan as producer.

Rob Kazinsky would make a good Batman

Nicolas Refn Winding directing, Ryan Gosling as Batman, Bryan Cranston as Gordon. I'm there.

It literally never would have occurred to me that Ned could possibly make a good Bruce Wayne(not sure about Batman, but Bruce fir sure). Interesting choice there. Who is that actress I. The Fall? She is stunning.

Her name is Justine Waddell I believe.

What I like about Lee Pace is he has the low voice range for Batman. He can speak low without doing the 'Bale' voice.

He has a good look for Bruce Wayne IMO. He could work as a logical continuation from Bale's character.

He's a great character actor, with a great resume.

He can be imposing with the right training, here's him with Daniel Craig:

A lot of these suggestions have been horrible.

Lee Pace by far is the best one suggested so far.

I think the Mad Men guy would work too. John Hamm strikes me as suitable for a live action version of B:TAS's Bruce Wayne.

My 5 choices

1 Michael Mann - Much like Nolan, never made anything less than good, only he's been doing it a lot longer. Hasn't made anything uber great since 'The Insider' but one of his films did contribute a great deal to The Dark Knight. Doubt he would do it but who knows. He's my favourite director of all time, so he's my default number 1.

2 David Fincher - . A perfect fit for Gotham. Again, I feel like it's unlikely - but not impossible (Ridley Scott/Spielberg etc)

3 Guillermo Del Toro - This is not out of the realms of possibility. I for one greatly enjoyed the comic book movies he has done thus far. Big, big step up with Bats though, but I think he's more than up to it.

4 Duncan Jones - Only 2 films into his career, like Nolan an awesome genre bending breakthrough followed by polished solid studio efforts. Would be an interesting choice.

5 Alfonso Cuaron - Guaranteed quality, and I think meets the halfway between Nolan and Burton more so than anyone else. I can see this happening, he's worked with WB before, don't know what his relationship with them is like but I do know that he made the best Potter film by a long, long way. Also, imagine some of those action sequences from Children Of Men in a Bat pic :)

Nice list :yay::up:

I actually loved Moon, and I believe Duncan Jones was on the short list of potential directors for the new superman film too? Would love to see that vision.

But Alfonso Cuaron gets my vote :yay:

Agreed!!! Alfonso Cuaron all the way. He knows exactly how to balance the tone of reality and fantasy. Perfect Choice. After receiving a fantastic real world take on the batman universe thanks to Mr. Nolan, i am totally down for a little fantasy mixed with reality version. Now i'm not talking batman and robinesc but just a well balanced mixture of the two.

People....if someone says something offensive...report it and move on. Do not reply with insults and name calling.

I'd personally love to see Armie Hammer in a Bruce Timm inspired movie reminiscent of Arkham Asylum. After Nolan's "realistic" take, I think this would be a fresh breath to the Batman film franchise.

We need to see a version of the traditional grey/black outfit, perma-white genocidal Joker who gases people, Riddler, and the rest of Batman's flamboyant rogues.

I agree with the above, however I'd like to see a movie directed by Zack Snyder, whom I think would be the only guy bold enough to give us a comic book-like version of Batman in a motion picture.
Perhaps he could do The Killing Joke or DKR.
Think about how cool it would be to see the comics jump right into the screen. Snyder would nail it, as he will Superman.

Adaptations of video games, cartoons, Killing Joke, directed by Zack Synder, the GREY COSTUME? Guys, come on. Have a little more imagination than that, please.

Just because Nolan is gone after TDKR, it doesn't mean his common sense and teachings on how to make the greatest Batman movies of all time (IMO) have to go with him.

I NEVER...NEVER...want to see another B&R again, as long as I live.
Okay, granted another director who comes in will have his own ideas and styles. But whoever that director may be, I just hope he remembers one thing...Christopher Nolan.

In future, I hope we see, not only a CLOSER influence to the comics, but also, a close inspiration from Nolan.
