Seriously though I think it might be fun to develop Ariel’s sisters a bit more. They’re literally in for one scene and then gone basically. I mean even Jasmine got a mate in the Aladdin remake so why not?

Also speaking of the, I guess for a better term, shared universe of the marvel u I would love to see Ariel get her orca friend from the animated series. I loved his chunkiness

Also anyone who's not sure who Lenny Henry is he's a British comedian he played the shrunken head on the bus in Harry Potter & The Prisoner of Azkaban go listen to clip of that and tell me he wouldn't be perfect to sing "Under The Sea" lol

Ha, actually that’s a good point. They always get some pop star to do a cover of the main Disney song. I wonder who they will get? Probably someone like Ariana grande to sing part of your world but I would love to see what Bette midler can do with poor unfortunate souls

Sources tell Variety that while the deal is not yet completed, McCarthy is in early talks to play the sea witch Ursula in the live-action adaptation of “The Little Mermaid.”

As Disney preps its live action version of the undersea tale, there’s a lot of buzz about the cast. Disney and the production team behind it are looking to make contemporary and compelling casting choices, while still paying homage to the beloved animated original.

You may not be his demographic but he is the new IT boy. He just broke out last year so of course a lot of his films are not yet released but he's gotten plenty of media coverage.

I actually like Melissa as Ursula. She’s a great actress and she doesn’t often get to play roles like villains. I wonder if maybe Disney were a bit worried about casting black people as villains? Anyway if Melissa got the gig I’ll be happy

I think Noah looks the part. I really don't want Zendaya as Ariel and the other actress look the part more.

Melissa as Ursula is interesting, I feel like some of the people might not take her seriously as a villain but if she could pull it off then great for her resume.
