Very annoying. I rolled my eyes when I read it as the whole point is she’s misleading Ariel into thinking her voice isn’t needed on land.

There was a story a while back that said they were cut from it. It's possible they don't have speaking roles since that's clearly them in the trailer when Ariel shows up to Ursula's lair. You'd think we'd have at least heard casting news by now but then again they haven't announced anyone playing that crazy French chef who tries to kill Sebastian either. I have a hunch that it'll be some big name actor playing him, like a Ryan Reynolds type of cameo.
