Cudmore'fans were disapointed

He wont reprise his role if Fox makes a present day movie
Jackman either. Logan is his last.

Thats great. They retcon the saga but we will never see OT together in one last movie

But hope some cameos. In Origins, Stewart appeared as uncredited cameo. That was a surprise.

As I recall, Miller approached him and he mentioned that in an interview. Cudmore also confirmed that on Twitter.

Yup. Miller approached Daniel Cudmore, but he turned it down when he was told that it would be a CG character, and that he would play him using stop-motion technology.

His bad, I doubt we'll hear much of him.

I honestly don't blame him for turning it down. It's not like we talk much about the new guy that played Colossus.

Really thats because the person who played colossus was about 40% of colossus, he wasn't the voice either, someone else was the voice, the rest of it was CGI.

Technically they have said 3 people played colossus for deadpool.

Yeah, we got the mocap guy, the voice actor, and a 3rd person who provided the facial movements.

And it was AWESOME. That's how Colossus should be, IMO. Cudmore is a terrible actor with the screen presence of a desk lamp.

Actually, I take that back. At least a lamp lights up, thereby displaying more personality than he ever could. Good riddance.

this is the problem.people moan at singer or mangold for not following other films but they give Miller a pass.Colussus has been established in 3 films.look the metal design keeped changing from film to film.

Colossus in Deadpool is hard to believe is same character at end of DOFP.

Then people complain about singer ignore trilogy characters like jubilee and angel but fine miller ignores 2x-last stand-DOFP.

Colossus In Deadpool is just one big joke and a punching bad for villains. With deadpool being a comedy I let that go but i sure wouldn't want colossus In X-Men films to be
like he was In Deadpool.

I didn't think Colossus was one big joke in Deadpool.

He finally was an interesting character for once, and of course he's the butt of Deadpool's jokes. And he's actually quite funny, as well. but you can see his heroism and earnestness shine through in a beautiful way.

Of course you wouldn't see him eating cereal for breakfast or telling women to adjust heir bra in any other X-Men film, but it'd be awesome to see that version of him pop up in the future.

I don't have any problems with James Mangold bringing a new version of Caliban to the big screen, either. I'm really looking forward to Stephen Merchant's portrayal of the character.

Agreed

To be fair at least Miller rebooted Colossus for the better, while Singer rebooted Jubilee and Angel for no good reason at all (other than have popular X-Men in his movie). Jubilee was a cameo again, and Angel resembled less the comic character than the X3 version. That says it all.

I just cannot see how Colossus was "rebooted for the better" in Deadpool. This character was definitely not my Colossus from the comic books.

Sometimes I wonder if these fanboy complains online actually only relate to superficial criteria and nothing more...if the adapted character looks the part it is already enough to quiet this superficial online fanbase although the character is a empty cliché without character development...

He's Russian, actually speaks, is more accurate in size, had two confrontational fights and has character.

This isn't difficult to understand for fans or audiences. Colossus in the X-Men films was given absolutely nothing. Now he actually has some traits of his comic counterpart. Plus was the focus of actions scenes and played an actual role in the plot of a film.

Audiences connect with a character who can actually communicate with others and drive the plot forward in someway. When they say and do nothing to the plot, nobody gives a ****. Which is why test audiences had no idea who the heck Colossus was from previous X-Men films and they had to add extra scenes to Deadpool to explain...he's an X-Men. People did not remember him.

Just like nobody will remember that one pale guy who stood behind a desk and had pretty much nothing to do in Apocalypse.

jubilee actully in finished film had more screentime and actully talked unlike her background role In OT.as for angel yeah those complents are justified.

If you go with DOFP erased trilogy and 1973 on parts or origins and The wolverine then colossus In future ending of DOFP and Deadpool can be same character as far as russian accent is concerened still hard to believe human human at end of DOFP is one In deadpool due to size.

let's ignore accent and size though.Colossus in deadpool comes off as butt of jokes and as punching bag for the villains.TNW was more useful helping deadpool in climax than colossus.

Prof X, Wolverine, Beast and NTW were all the target of Deadpool's jokes cause the X-Men are a joke to him. Kind of why he's called the merc with a mouth and is always pissing off everyone.

This is the character that asked Kitty Pryde if she ever played Street Fighter, gave her a Shoryukyn and cheered for it just so he could fight Wolverine. He troll's these guys and gals every chance he gets...unless they are Siryn.

The more I'm seeing about this movie, the more skeptical I am that Mr Sinister will play a big role in this movie, or appear at all. The only real confirmations we have so far are from a possibly fan-made IMDB synopsis and the Apocalypse audio commentary. Though it is of course possible that Mangold is trolling. It at least makes sense that the year 2024 also came from the same fan synopsis and thus isn't canon. That should make it easier to fit Logan in the timeline. ;)

I don't think he'll appear in the film since the main villain is Donald Pierce, but it's not hard to assume that Essex Corp (and thereby Mr.Sinister) will play some role in the background. He's probably intended to be a villain for the long run due to his connection to many characters.

Yeah I think it's fair to assume that Essex Corp will be mentioned (or show up) a few times throughout the film, but I think that's about as far as it'll go. :)
