As I recall, he was never approached for it.
As I recall, Miller approached him and he mentioned that in an interview. Cudmore also confirmed that on Twitter.
I honestly don't blame it for turning it down. It's not like we talk much about the new guy that played Colossus.
I didn't think Colossus was one big joke in Deadpool.
He finally was an interesting character for once, and of course he's the butt of Deadpool's jokes. And he's actually quite funny, as well. but you can see his heroism and earnestness shine through in a beautiful way.
Of course you wouldn't see him eating cereal for breakfast or telling women to adjust heir bra in any other X-Men film, but it'd be awesome to see that version of him pop up in the future.
I don't have any problems with James Mangold bringing a new version of Caliban to the big screen, either. I'm really looking forward to Stephen Merchant's portrayal of the character.
To be fair at least Miller rebooted Colossus for the better, while Singer rebooted Jubilee and Angel for no good reason at all (other than have popular X-Men in his movie). Jubilee was a cameo again, and Angel resembled less the comic character than the X3 version. That says it all.this is the problem.people moan at singer or mangold for not following other films but they give Miller a pass.

I don't think he'll appear in the film since the main villain is Donald Pierce, but it's not hard to assume that Essex Corp (and thereby Mr.Sinister) will play some role in the background. He's probably intended to be a villain for the long run due to his connection to many characters. The more I'm seeing about this movie, the more skeptical I am that Mr Sinister will play a big role in this movie, or appear at all. The only real confirmations we have so far are from a possibly fan-made IMDB synopsis and the Apocalypse audio commentary. Though it is of course possible that Mangold is trolling. It at least makes sense that the year 2024 also came from the same fan synopsis and thus isn't canon. That should make it easier to fit Logan in the timeline.![]()
Yeah I think it's fair to assume that Essex Corp will be mentioned (or show up) a few times throughout the film, but I think that's about as far as it'll go.I don't think he'll appear in the film since the main villain is Donald Pierce, but it's not hard to assume that Essex Corp (and thereby Mr.Sinister) will play some role in the background. Gambit?
I wonder what that ring is about.
