I would add Cap to that also....I recently rewatched it on Netflix and was amazed at how rushed it was

I actually liked the "Skinny Steve" portion of the film. Everything else after that I just couldn't get into for the reason you mentioned.

I would agree with this...after the injection the movie moved swiftly.

The Incredible Hulk Sexon truly is a decently good film and I hate that it never gets brought up. I swear if Mark Ruffalo does not get a chance at a solo hulk film I'm going to be peeved. Hell I would settle for a TV series featuring mark.

Cap's a tough sell worldwide though. I can understand their apprehension about throwing $200+ million at it.

Thor was also a tricky property. They just weren't going to go crazy with the budgets on these films. They had to make due and get to the Avengers which will serve as a greater marketing tool for all the individual tentpoles. Both T:TDW and C:TWS got budget upgrades compared to the first films. I myself cannot wait to see T:TDW. I am so hyped for it, it's not even funny.

I also Can't wait to see T:TDW & CA:TWS as I loved the first installments of both films. I'm bummed that KB and Patrick Doyle won't be back for the second Thor though:-(

With the Russo brothers directing C:TWS it makes me apprehensive, but I've gotten so much more interested ever since the photos of The Winter Soldier were released. He looks freakin' great. Sebastian Stan can also act intense when he wants to so can't wait to see how that character turns out. God have mercy on their souls if they don't finally figure out how to put Cap's fighting skills on display. I'm tired of him amounting to a guy who makes tricky jumps and can run fast.

I was kind of saddened to learn that the music in the T:TDW trailer wasn't actually going to be in the film. I thought it fit like a glove. Turns out it was done by some company that specializes in trailer music.

I just never understood the criticisms of TIH. I thought beat-wise, it was the quintessential cbm movie and I absolutely loved the cinematography. I think if Marvel hadn't left the attempted suicide scene on the cutting room floor it might've added an emotional connection that some of the GA needed. CGI needed some work though. The battle on the college campus featured the real Captain America btw haha. That aerial Blonsky did over the Hulk is still my favorite MCU moment.

I honestly don't understand the point of JOE when he asks where are the fanboys that predicted 1 billion or 800m.
I have to say that in this thread superman fans have been usually far more realistic than other fans. For example there were far more marvel fans that predicted +200 for for Captain America than Superman fans that predicted 800m.

I predicted 257m in the US and 250m overseas for a successful restart, so I can be only pleased by the MOS box office.

Those numbers would've been a major disappointment for the studio. Luckily you were wrong.

Over/under $315m domestic?

I say over

God damn it. All this Hulk talk. I'm going to have to pull out my old Bill Bixby Incredible Hulk DVD set and watch some episodes. The theme/opening credits still slay.
I swear I would freak if Hulk was brought back on TV.

Yeah 300 even would be a minor miracle at this point. Domestic that is.

$305M is the highest it hits now.

It will be $270M by Sunday. They will get it to $300M. They have the juice to do so after its third weekend recovery.

OS is the wild card at this point.

Over/Under $450m OS?

I say over.

I think reaching $300m domestically would be more than enough that whatever it makes OS would be irrelevant almost.

The domestic market is still dollar to dollar the most important market to the studios. It's where they get the most bang for their buck due to not having to worry about conversion rates or tariffs or foreign taxes etc.

All this guy's post have been to debunk MOS success...

I haven't and am not trying to "debunk" anything....I'm merely questioning HOW successful it is.

This one is one of the folks that will not admit to the success of MOS

Wrong, I was just questioning whether it was successful enough for a sequel. Hopefully it is and hopefully we get one.

and ones that didn't like the movie either...

Wrong again. I liked the movie, just not as much as I was hoping I would due to bad dialogue, development, and choppy editing.

He forget that right now it's at 525mil

Huh? I never said it wasn't...

WW and after this weekends' OS update it will be 585-600 mil WW. Domestic it will hit 270 million after the weekend is over.

Let's hope.

BTW... the real Kevin Smith love MOS... this guy is fake... lol

Everyone knows I'm not the "real" KS. L.O.L.

And like I said, I liked it enough, just didn't "love" it.

Everyone's having fun predicting BO numbers. I don't understand too why some people have to go out of their way to put others down. :csad:

Joe's 500M prediction is way off as well... even the 800M predictors will be far closer to the actuals when this is all done... so, why question the 'over predictions' and call them all sort of 'names'.. why not call out the 'under predictors'?

Right now it's only made about 50 more domestically than SR did, and only about 115 more WW (adjusted).

I will wait until it is greenlit and there are production photos until I believe there will be a sequel.

There is going to be a sequel, MOS has been a hit and its git the franchise off to a good start. There's places to go, one of the main reasons Returns didn't get a sequel was the studio weren't happy with where it left things at the end if the film.

Also there is alot more at stake here remember, there's a whole DC Umiverse they're wanting to build.

SR earn that in it's entire run struggling to reach 200 million while MOS easily reach and surpass its WW earning in 2-3 weeks in the busy BO summer ever (until 2015). Sequel will be announce... I'm guessing at SD ComicCon...

LOL "only" 115m more is quite fun, dude. Please. :)

The point is that WB wanted to greenlit a SR sequel at the end of the summer, the box office wa at least decent, but the movie failed even to become a hit even in the home entertainment market and a sequel would have been too risky.

I'm sure that far more people will buy MOS on dvd and blue ray.

Well I hope it's announced soon and that we get one. Idk how much MOS will end up with at the end of its run but I can't see it getting too much more than it has right now (re: won't reach 700).

Is it that much bigger a deal to them? I mean, I will never see any money like that in my whole lifetime...but is that enough to them (hopefully?)?

500M - 600M and up to around 700M if WOM is good.
